Lavery

Played bloody brilliantly for the first time in about a year, and then goes and gets bloody sent off.

Haven't see it back but looked from the away end like he got twatted?

On that form we need him for the Nobbers match. That's how he was before his bad injury against Rovers last season and I thought him Yates and Madine were superb as a front 3. The best I've seen from that combo. Maybe they're starting to get an understanding.

Ridiculous sending off but what else would you expect from such a shite ref.

Isn’t it funny how because we come out of the game with a point today and played well no one has questioned MA picking Yates, Madine and Lavery.

But away at Rotherham it was made out to be world wide news and the wrongest thing ever.

Each day that passes I believe even more that a lot of our fans on this forum are as fickle as they come.

Today it worked, every time we played the three together in the past it hasn't, simply because the players were not played to exploit their individual and collective strengths. Today was very different. We pressed high up the pitch, and utilised very well the energy of Yates and lavery. With madine a physical presence and Doug's pushing into them high up as well I think it's the way we should be playing.
Maybe apps is starting to work out how to use the players he has, rather than trying to fit players to what he thinks he wants

It’s madness, but I don’t think they’ll overturn it, I think they’ll say he was involved in an altercation and the ref decided to send them both off, and that’s up to the ref.

I won’t blame the EFL panel for that though, blame for me lies squarely with the ref who had lost control of the game, the players and his senses. After the sh1tshow of a second half from him, why didn’t he show some common sense and give them a yellow each?

Hes not an aggressive lad, it has to be overturned, not his fault he got clattered.
I think he is but in the right way, but he shouldn't have been sent off.
If you said Hamilton isn't an aggressive lad I'd totally agree with you.

Nah more clueless than fickle to be honest

If that picture a few posts up is grabbed from a video, I would like to see what lead up to it.
Has Lavery said something to provoke him, or was it just a random attack.

Their manager said Lavery was trying to hold people back, Fotheringham spun round and they both fell down.

First step to a joint appeal?

Watched a few replays back this morning.

Lavery was stood close to Fotheringham in the brawl, Lavery wasn’t really doing anything just watching. Fotheringham then either hit or kicked one of our players it wasn’t clear and Lavery didn’t like it and started pulling him away from who ever it was and tried to put his body in between Fotheringham and whoever he was going at.

Fotheringham then turned his attentions solely on Lavery and the two of them both grabbed each other. Fotheringham then lost it and forced his whole weight down in Lavery causing them to both go to the deck grabbing hold of each other.

Shayne really didn’t do too much wrong, Fotheringham acted like a complete bellend, although I didn’t see what started the whole thing so not sure of something happened to him prior to it.

Neither red card will be overturned, both clubs will get a fine for failure to control their players etc.

Brilliant tear up though hardly ever seen that anymore in the modern game

If they don’t overturn Foderingham’s they won’t overturn Lavery’s. They can’t have a big club like Sheff United feeling hard done to can they? It would be absolutely ludicrous. A bit line Carey’s away at Burnley.

They won’t overturn either,Lavery should have kept himself out of the mix,but didn’t and he and Fotheringham decided they were auditioning for WWE and got red cards

Knowing the fa and the efl and how they’ve always treated Blackpool I can’t see it being rescinded even tho it definitely should be
Blackpool waiting to read the referees report before they decide if to appeal or not

Can you imagine if the same BS rules were applied to the FA/ EFL in different circumstances.

People who get attacked or assaulted by someone, yet got charged by the police as well for being attacked.

"Well, you were both involved only fair."

In their world the victims seem to get the same punishment as the ones committing the offence.

🙄
