League One Clubs unable to decide!

League One clubs have failed to agree whether to end the season early following discussions with the English Football League.
Friday's meeting involving all 23 sides in the division came after six clubs had said they were determined to complete their remaining fixtures.
The league was halted on 13 March amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The clubs will meet again on Monday, while teams in League Two are due to carry out discussions later on Friday.
BBC Sport understands there is a general acceptance among clubs in both League One and League Two that resuming the current campaign is impossible because of a lack of money.
But on Thursday Peterborough United, Oxford United, Sunderland, Fleetwood, Portsmouth and Ipswich Town released a joint statement saying they had "no desire for voiding the season, points-per-game scenarios or letting a computer decide our footballing fate".
A Twitter post by Peterborough chairman Darragh MacAnthony, whose side are sixth with nine games to play, added: "For our fans/staff and for the integrity of our sport, we are all looking forward to completing our pending fixtures/season under guidance from the EFL at a time it is deemed safe to do so."

No agreement. To be fair it was a tricky choice whether to have custard creams or bourbons with the tea or coffee.

Coming back next week to make that decision then see what else is on the agenda.

Sad state of affairs when most of the country are being asked to go back to work. I know some, maybe alot are high risk Bame but all could field a healthy team, maybe they should postpone indefinitely until a vaccine is found. Maybe we would see more robberies at players homes to boost their income.

If we get going again will the home shirt be changed to Don't Visit Blackpool?

So wonder what will change by tomorrow? I'd imagine the six who want to continue will be making some calls. Interesting that a club in the bottom three has also said they don't want to end the season. Presume that must be Tranmere?

Just relegate Bolton and Southend who were dead certs anyway.
Promote the top 3 in League 2.

Tranmere have a valid point though. Won last 3 games and have to play Rochdale and Wimbledon.

I don’t think that they will void the season. They will apply a pints per game average, upscale to 46 games.
Wycombe, Oxford, Portsmouth and Fleetwood will be in the play offs.
At the bottom, Tranmere have shown too little, too late.

How on earth can the season be restarted? What happens if a team has an outbreak of cases? Bloody crazy!

Also, Bundesliga has shown how soulless behind closed doors football is.

There's more important things than football at the moment.

Of course, just my humble opinion. 😊
Totally agree. Football behind closed doors is ludicrous, especially if accompanied by brain-dead proposals for canned crowd noise. Wait until it is completely safe and meantime devote testing PPE etc resources to where they are really needed. If that means many months or even a year before the season can be completed, so be it. Everybody is having to adjust.

How many league one clubs can really afford to play these games without some form of income. Can the six really afford the rest of the season given their current financial status, or is it just their egotistical chairmen being pig-headed.

Should the six financially underwrite all the costs they want the league to incur then put that to a vote
