LED Advertising Boards

Whilst They are clearly an additional source of revenue for the club as with other ones using them but I can’t stand them and they Should have no place at a sports ground as far as I am concerned.
A distraction for the players, officials and fans 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎🤬👎🤬👎🤬🤬🤬

They certainly won’t entice me to “buy“ any of the products , though most it seems are related to betting which I don’t in the first place.

They’re not a distraction at all... it’s called progress. I bet you’re a scream at social functions!!!!

Not my cup of tea either, but its another step away from the tin-pot Oyston days and towards professionally run club. At least they'll not be down the east side, so from my seat shouldn't be too annoying! :)

Excellent. Physical boards massively limit the amount of advertising space you can have.

A virtual board with cycling ads essentially provides unlimited ad space.

I’ve noticed they are more discreet now. No flashing images or ads rolling along creating a distraction. They just cycle through now

Perhaps it might also be considered 'professional' to have a PA system that can be heard in the East. You know, so that important safety messages can be heard. Or is it not important if it isn't making money?

I know the Chairman of the company that will install them. They are all Full HD or 4K now and long lasting panels that fit together like sticklebricks 👍
Unfortunately his company is Preston based 😓

Ismail tea merchants. That used to attract my eye when it was painted on top of the scratching shed roof.
...and “The Green”.......showing both of our ages me thinks....if and when we build the new East Stand....it should be called the Scratching Shed Stand ( sponsored by one those Pork Scratchings Companies of course, though personally I find them...well yuk...but extra revenue for the club😀)00D595DE-57F3-4032-A857-5F0CE15290F3.jpeg

My thoughts are that it be a two level stand with the bottom lay being named the Scratching Shed and the top layer having those very adverts from your picture emblazoned across the seats.

I will miss all the broken and faded boards we have had for countless years.

Hope we have Bass beer and the Gazette Green on the new signs🤣

Like them or not for me it's just another indication of progress. If we are to become an established Championship or maybe even one day Premier League Club we have to move forward in everything, off field, on field, advertising revenues, players, youth development, coaching and yes the dreadful PA system too.

Everything I see and hear says we are moving in the right direction. There's very little fan connection but I reckon most of us can live with that if they are building something we can all be proud of and I think they are
