Indeed - but to some degree pushing boundaries moves us on, which people forget.

The reality is the moderators on here stop free speech as they delete posts and threads.

Some of those threads are in their own interests to delete as it could cause them issues - which I get - but that’s another argument.

Someone on here had a right go at me and my family not so long ago which they deleted and I asked them no to as it showed the bell end for what they where.

…but it didn’t come back.
The moderators should only delete threads were there may be legal issues involved which directly affect AVFFT. Anything else should be left to run it’s course unless a thread reaches a set number of reports.

The Mods are damned if they do, damned if they don't. I think they do a reasonable job. The only thing that they might do to help is to join threads and say to posters 'it's getting a bit tasty, calm it down.' That might extend the life of some threads.

The only thing I disagree with that comment is ‘who decides what’s the level of reports’?

Personally unless there is a legal issue which gets AVFTT in trouble - anything goes!

The moderators are NOT the police of free speech for me.

If stuff is going to get them in trouble I get it - but that’s a another argument.

No, there has to be a limit. It could become really nasty otherwise. Let's be honest, apart from Scara we might grumble about being taken down but it doesn't last.

Apologies for believing in free speech and having the gumption to discuss difficult situations, sadly too many on here just want to shut debate down and stick their fingers in their ears. Lalalalalalalalalalala I can hear you.

Just to play 100% devils here…

AVFTT is owned by someone or some people.

Just like the bar I am currently sat in, in Sanur Bali.

If I walked up to the bar and was rude to the staff I would be thrown out.

Mmmm, got me thinking 👍

Free speech should be allowed always, but never forget it has consequences 👍

I knew this would happen. You rise too quickly. Give and take is the answer. You get way more than a fair hearing.

As long as the level of reports needed is made known it could work . But I agree for me it could be a free for all.

My take on the free speech thing on here, all opinion should be allowed no matter how unpalatable it might be to many.
When somebody writes something offensive and passes it off as a fact, when it isn't, then probably the moderator should step in.

Let’s face it - you wouldn’t be able to hack a full on debate. You’d be effing, jeffing and flouncing within 15 minutes.

To give you a taster….

When you had numerous sources to choose from, why did you opt for a right wing fascist who had connections with Britain First until the she fell out with the leader (a former BNP supporter)? Especially when the tweet included a blatant racist strap line calling for repatriation?

Why didn’t you choose a less provocative source?

Posts deleted by MODS, i assume were not going to have a big boy conversation on this then and just bury it. Classic.

I've said this numerous times, the source is irrelevant. I've posted stuff from both sides of the divide. I notice that never gets mentioned. Anyway still ignoring the content like everyone else and instead just going after me. Classic.

The source is not irrelevant. It suggests there’s an agenda at play. Xmas come early for the far right racists.

As for the content I don’t know of anyone who would welcome Hindu extremism any more than they would welcome Islamic extremism. But to use the incident as a platform to call for repatriation of non white U.K. citizens (including those not involved in the trouble) speaks volumes.

And as has been said - apart from the skin colour of the people involved - what’s the difference between this and the crowd trouble at Birmingham that you witnessed? Or between Blackpool and PNE fans at BR last season? I don’t recall you getting hot under the collar about that. Apart from criticising the police of course.

More double standards and hypocrisy from you I’m afraid.

Well i assume you didn't read my original post ? I didn't mention any of those things but don't let the truth get in the way of a bit of a twisted agenda. Sadly you cant read it now as the MODS deleted it. I was asking for the elders to call for calm as the police couldn't cope with the trouble. But then the usual Hard Left piled in to twist the truth. Including you and the Mods.

I did read the original thread which included the same link to the same racist former Britain First supporter as this thread. With a link/strap line which calls for an end to immigration and repatriation.

I also accept you called for community leaders to become involved. However if you’d read any other reports of the trouble you’d have seen that is precisely what the community leaders have been doing. So stop pretending they haven’t.

If you have looked into this a bit further it will surprise you to see there's a huge racial element to the problem. I suspect if it had been a different demographic you may be a touch more vocal on here. But hey, again the truth doesn't suit your narrative does it.

Actually if you’d looked into this a bit further it would surprise you to see there’s a huge sporting (cricket) element to the problem. Rather than race. But hey again the truth doesn’t suit your narrative does it?

Thats what started it, if you like i can post some footage where one of the demographics are being racist, but that would just get deleted.

Ah right. So you accept it started at a sporting event then. But cricket hooligans as opposed to football hooligans. So next time there’s trouble at a footy match you’ll no doubt be calling for those involved to be repatriated and the community leaders of, say, Blackpool and Preston to become involved as the police can’t cope.

The racists who've commented on this thread need to get a DNA test sometime.

I found I'm a mixture of English ( Yorkshire,
Derbyshire, Cheshire, Warwickshire and Oxfordshire) as well as Scottish, French, Scandinavian, Portugese, German, Middle Eastern and a soupcon of Genghis Khan.

If I was "sent back", it would be in lots of little pieces.
Perhaps you should add Sicilian to that list.

There was an article carried in both the Times of India and the Karachi Daily News about violence in England.

It reported on ugly scenes in October last year between supporters of Blackpool and Preston North End, and asked how this can happen?

It's only a football match!

Have their reporters ever been to a Pakistan v India Cricket International?

It might make for calmer and more thoughtful debate if you stopped looking for other posters' "narratives" all the time. It can appear a bit defensive when we should all be able to make our points openly.

Scara is just of lackey of the right wing masses

Apparently he’s gonna have ‘God’s narrative’ engraved on his tombstone

Well it might help if we could discuss the actual issues without other posters accusing me of having a far right narrative. There's a serious issue going on that the MSM and some on here just don't seem to want to face. You can talk about a problem without it being racist, sadly not.

This subject came up due to the sectarian bigotry of Glasgow, i made the point that this trouble is no different to that, yet we don't seem to be able to discuss it rationally like we can the troubles north of the border, why is that ?

We’re discussing it now.

And yes I can see parallels with the religious sectarianism that exists in some football clubs north of the border as well.

But that’s different to some sort of crisis of race, or the collapse of multiculturalism in the U.K., which leads to hysterical and ridiculous calls for repatriation.

You're actually blaming it on the cricket, you poor deluded soul.

Only in the sense that I’d blame football hooliganism on football. Obviously there’s a lot of other stuff going on as well - as per the Rangers v Celtic sectarianism - but as we know people often look for “a hook to hang their hats on”.

Lot's of Mela's ban flag waving precisely because of the underlying tensions between India and Pakistan; we all know heritage runs deep, stuff like this is never far away - just needs an incident to spark it off.

No idea whether the repatriation was a serious suggestion but it's hilarious.

Just needs people in Leicester to sit down and talk through what sparked it off and deal with that; then it will settle until the next one - I think we will find mothers taking the lead and telling the men to grow up; it tends to happen that way in divided communities.

I'm not a fan of the term MSM and using that as some kind of cover up. How do you define it, I would assume BBC, ITV Channel 4, Sky all national newspapers etc. That's one hell of a broad brush

where exactly did I say this ? Now you are overreacting. One doth protest too much I think.

As the person asking for repatriation was a former member of Britain First and the BNP, it was serious.

You set the tone with your link in the op (since removed). As I said a while back if you’d wanted a proper debate then you’d have linked to a less controversial source. As it was you chose a racist who clearly had an agenda.

What news sources do you value? I have the occasional problem with the BBC but on the whole they are pretty good. You've got to be very careful with the Internet and social media
I suppose i do keep an eye on the various usual ones including the BBC, i just tend to look through lots of internet sources and pick the bones out. Regards VALUE, I'm not convinced there's too many out there you can fully trust. You have to look at the content and lend your own thought process and beliefs.

Mex, it would make absolutely no difference where the source came from, I've posted stuff from the MSM and had it deleted as someone got upset and complained. I have posted stuff from both sides of the divide only for the MODS to tell me off. Cant win I'm afraid, and that's pert of the problem here.
