Let down by Blackpool F.C.

I know that there is a lot of Anti Appleton on line at the moment , but apart from not wanting him as a manager . Who else will feel let down by the club if they give him the job .After a couple of years of singing from the same Hymn sheet . This could put a major crack between the club and its fans if they feel once again they are not being listened too.

Get a grip.

Pathetic.

Ultimately the club does what it thinks is best but id be concerned that given the obvious anti Appleton feeling that they'd go ahead and do it anyway. Let's be honest couple of losses or bad performances and it'll be like it was under Grayson in the stadium.

Ridiculous-what if he got us into the play offs or are you a clairvoyant and can see into the future

Seek help. You're taking entertainment too seriously.

I said a few weeks back that this was going to be a long Summer on here and that my head would pop….well it is and it has….

Got promotion from league 1, maintained championship status this season.
I feel soooooo let down.
As said before the only let down was Quitley shitting on us🤷

They're interviewing him (apparently). That's it. Christ, you'd think we'd appointed Karl Oyston as the gaffer.

The club are doing due dilligence on all candidates.

That's if MA has even been interviewed...

WTF!! There is so much made up bullshit on this board. No one on here knows who the next manager is going to be so all this wild, made up speculation is ridiculous.

I mean I love the "He's too miserable" comments, Sir Alex was a bundle of joy wasn't he? I'm of the opinion now that it will be who it will be and they will either do well or not. It won't be a personality competition, it will be about what they get the team doing on the pitch and motivating them.

Some fans really need to calm down a bit on here and maybe take a few days off.
The meltdown over this is unreal and he hasn’t even got the job. It’s just hearsay.

A grip is needed to be gotten.

What if he got us relegated, and I’m not a clairvoyant either. It’s just opinions same as everything else on this board, I don’t want him but if he gets the gig we’ll have to see.

Sorry that most people feel as though I am making some story up . I said IF APPLETON WAS APPOINTED . Then I asked if fans would feel they are not being listened too . Well I for one from these boards would definately feel that the club has let us down . They must look at these boards and surely should take things on board when there is a strong opinion on something.

I'd quit while I was behind if I were you.

I’m prepared to let it go and forgive / give a second chance to Appleton, so long as he comes on the pitch pre -match for the first game of the season and sings this ….

I’m not into this at all, smacks a bit of modern football fan entitlement to me. It’s right that the club listen to (about issues that directly affect us), consider and acknowledge the supporters.
But if you think you should be choosing the manager, then what next? Should they run every signing by us? Formation, substitutions? Let people make the football decisions, we might not like them, they’ll get some wrong. If they get too many wrong they’ll lose their job. But it’s not for us to expect to be included in the decision making process. Save it for your pre match pint

What a load of Tosh. Whoever gets the job should be judged on performance and nothing else (conduct notwithstanding), if it is Appleton then let's see how we fair.

Whoever gets the job will have a mammoth task keeping us up, with a mid table finish a bonus. We are currently punching way above our weight with the cost of our squad but...we have a good side and I think we will be OK. More headed goals from our strikers would be nice. Anyone demanding a play-off finish is wildly deluded I'm afraid.

If we are relegated and haven't chucked stupid money at trying to stay up I'll be fed up but happy that the priorities haven't been compromised; a real training ground (imagine that) and a new bespoke East Stand that isn't the same as the others (my wish is a steep bugger like at Hearts/Hibs or an inventive 2 tier-job).

Keep the faith, it will be a rocky season!

Managers are judged on results not whether the fans like them or not he shouldn’t be judged on his brief last spell with us when when we had asset strippers in charge ( if it’s MA)

Asset strippers didn't dictate his tactics. Some of the games were just simply appalling to watch. Dire.

With fuck all to moan about for 3 years….. some have been waiting for a moment just like this! Either that or their ‘managerial armchair’ has bust….

There are a lot of assumptions here. There is no guarantee MA or LR will get the job, it’s all based on media speculation. All that seems certain is that they have been interviewed - this is no guarantee they will get the job - most likely along with others we do not know. If you look at it logically, if MA has been offered the job why has it taken so long to appoint him after all he only has to agree personal terms (and let’s be honest I suspect clubs are not exactly queuing up to appoint him). Furthermore the club are not stupid, they will be aware he walked out before after 69 days or so for whatever the real reason and that his appointment with be unpopular with the majority of the fan base. The club will also be aware his managerial record is average at best though he does have a reputation as a good coach. All this will be taken into account when making a decision. For me LR is the front runner still but I would also not be surprised to see them look abroad - remember in the interview BM put out he said they monitor managers/coaches here and abroad and there are a lot of very decent foreign coaches in our league now. Time will tell but with all the work, due diligence and effort put in I am confident the club will find the right man. Patience (granted it is being tested at the moment) is the key.
