Lifetime ban pending

So your team is on the verge of the premiership and you decide to assault Billy Sharp who was stood on the side of the pitch at full time.

Forest confirm lifetime ban will be issued, so can only assume at this stage that it is a Forest supporter. Highly intelligent.

I don’t get the stupidity of some people, why would you do something like that in full view of the players, fans and cameras which will scar the idiot for life!🛎end

The report.........

Forests greatest football night this century!!!🤯

Warning, graphic content (before the picture of the assault)
It's a blurred photo where you're lucky to make anything out.

Anyhow, Forest should be banned from the final and given a 21 point penalty next season.

No doubt the footballing authorities will take some action against Forest, probably for not controlling their crowd etc.

So once again one idiot makes the headlines for all the wrong reasons and no doubt the club and every other supporter will be the victims in the long term.

Take note, those who transgress what is considered to be reasonable behaviour at football.

Colin Murray on quest hits the nail on the head.

Which organisation like the EFL can continually condemn things like this but do NOTHING.

Hopefully the police have their man and he can reflect upon his thuggish behaviour behind bars. I also hope, wherever he is, has no TV so he doesn't even get the chance to watch his team at Wembley.

Don't like Forest fans after they made disrespectful comments about the mighty pool when they won 4-1. Hope Turton and his mates do them . Then they can come back to Bloomers and see what happens next season.

So, Are you
A.) condoning some fat bloke steaming into another person without any reason and causing them harm?
B.) Are you just 🎣
C.) Simple
B possibly C? Ruled A out immediately, Billy Sharp is a bit of a tw@ who has been winding up fans of all clubs for years but Phil is a full on tw@ who has been winding up Blackpool fans for years, can't risk condoning it.

Forest will be back in League One by the time he gets out. I remember a Birmingham fan a few years ago patting the Villa keeper on the face and he got a stretch I think. Cant remember how long though.

Maybe, but @Philbfctrois has a point, in that players wind up fans all the time, especially after they've scored, and then get upset when people react. I wouldn't lob something when they're giving it shush, sliding on their knees to the opposition fans, (see Cameron Archer recently) but it doesn't surprise me that in an emotional moment, some do.

Before I go any further, can I put it on record that this was something else, a blindsided cowardly assault against someone who wasn't even playing, with no hint of provocation.

That Leeds fan got a ban aswell for belting Kirkland at Wednesday.

Stand closure next season?

We get threatened for throwing a plastic bottle....

Simon Jordan talking on the radio just now, said he got a text from a journalist during the game saying that if Billy Sharp and another (cant remember his name), don't stop goading & winding the Forest fans up, he can see there being trouble.

Didnt warrant that disgraceful act though!

The biggest wind up merchant on the messageboard calls someone a ** for being a wind up merchant, all within a post that will wind people up. 👏

Disgraceful and glad he has been caught. However, Sheffield United didn't do themselves any favours by their thuggish behaviour on the pitch and Heckinbotham when he rammed the ball into the Forest player, Spence's midriff.

Wiz, players only wind fans up as a reaction to the abuse they get on the pitch.
Quite easy to say they are pros and should rise above it but abuse of players really does get out of hand.
I was watching the Everton / Brentford game and as a Brentford player came across to take a throw in some idiot ran from about 6 rows back to the wall right in front of the player giving it large and you clearly seeing him telling the player to fcuk off. What is all that about?
Billy Connolly has it right; when people go to a football match they suddenly develop a tribal mentality.

I don't deny that but players also bleat about being shouted at, yet incite when they score. It's a 2 way street.

Surprised nobody has shown or mentioned Oli McBurnie kicking-out on a Forest fan on the ground.

McBurnie was the other player (along with Sharp) who the TalkSport presenter had been told during the game last night, could end up causing trouble if they didnt stop goading the Forest fans during the game.

Plus his team had won anyway. So he did this because he was... Happy? Horrendous thuggish behaviour on any level

Must say, I'll be supporting Huddersfield - Forest definitely feel they have a sense of entitlement about them. That said, should be a cracking atomosphere at that final.

The thug is in court today let’s hope he gets sent down.

Wow..that’s not a good look is it! Deary me.

How anyone can seriously feel McBurnie has any sort of case to answer is beyond me. The players have a right to feel safe and secure in their place of work if that doesn't happen then how can we be surprised that they react. Don't run on the pitch acting in an aggressive manner, don't attack an opposition player and none of this happens. Too many supporters want to act like utter dicks and expect total immunity from their actions. The world doesn't work like that.
