The formation is the only problem.CJ needs leaving out. Producing next to nothing. The formation isnt the problem.

The formation is the only problem.
All 6 teams across the play off finals last year played 3-5-2. Coventry occasionally play a 3-4-2-1 but on the whole they play with two strikers. The formation is the only problem.
The only time i went to Lincoln ,i remember tony Ellis scored was at the back of stand ,did not see most of the match due to fantastic pool support ,think we were near top of table at the time and it was one of the last games of the season ,if i remember correctly (not sure what year ,as my memory is not what it was but think we won that day).Last time I went was 1992 lost 2-0 putting us in playoffs
Taking my lad hoping for a better ending 2-0 to the Pool

So I don't think the formation is the problem and I can understand why Critchley is persisting with this system, especially when our only options for wingers are CJ & Dale.
I also enjoy the term, but wouldn’t apply it to CJ.CJ I think is a decent fella and can do an effective job left of a front three either starting (possibly) or off the bench in League 1. Shithouse however is a wonderful insult and was a favourite of my late nan.
I'm shocked, it's not like you to have a bad feeling.I have a bad feeling tomorrow is going to be the explosion of negativity. A convincing defeat and everyone pointing the figure at Critchley and asking why he is persevering with these tactics when they are clearly not working.
Might go to The Swan in Tenerife so I can share my displeasure with other like minded folfolk

In that case, why don't you get off this site for a bit and enjoy your holiday? Just a thought.
Looking forward to going tomorrow and quietly optimistic this side.
Lyons at left wing back is just as bigger problem as CJ at right wing back.Big game for Critch tomorrow, cos he hasnt started well. He seems terrified of failure and a bit rabbit in headlights to me. His interviews are the drivel of a man who doesnt know how to change things and has lost confidence. He doesnt have key attacking players he had first time round. Yates, Anderson, Simms, Embleton, Stewart, Bowler, Madine. We are much weaker now.
I dont think we have the players we need and i dont think we will sign what we need next week. Norburn and Weir should hopefully do well this season but Oakley-B and Morgan seem like squad fillers and Joseph is the only attacking player we've signed. Why?
It's a bit of a mess, compounded by the bizarre selection of CJ at RWB and the blind faith in Beesley, by not playing proper wing backs in their correct positions having chosen 532 and by not considering Apter at all when we lack any sort of creative edge.
Should have appointed Dobbie in my opinion. I was a big supporter of Critch first time but he walked away and screwed up and its affected him. He does also seem to need somebody with him who is more street wise, an ex player. Sadler needs to be proactive, not sleep on the job. Get someone streetwise to work with Critch, maybe Dobbie. Though Dobbie turned that down in the summer.
Critch seems very much a coach to me, lacking the nous and hard edge to manage. Burton adapted at half time, Port Vale and Orient looked more savvy with lower budgets. We looked ok at Exeter but maybe thats what we are, a side that can manage away games. Until we go behind maybe?! Which we probably will tomorrow. Cant see us winning unless we make some significant changes. Which are tricky with the lack of attacking options.
It's a problem but not as big. He's better both sides than CJ either side.Lyons at left wing back is just as bigger problem as CJ at right wing back.
Leave out CJ? Formation not the problem?!CJ needs leaving out. Producing next to nothing. The formation isnt the problem.
You do that.Leave out CJ? Formation not the problem?!
I shall bookmark this ready for a condescending put down after he's scored his hat-trick in a 3-0 victory.
It's a symbiotic issue.Lyons at left wing back is just as bigger problem as CJ at right wing back.
It’s not a bad shout. If it isn’t currently working, we’re only 5 games in…we’ve got nothing to lose.Wonder if he will start Virtue tomorrow, as he has inside knowledge of Lincoln.
Norburn, Virtue and Wier would be a very strong midfield plus plenty of options off the bench
100? We are not Fleetwood.Probably around 100. Not many people will want to watch these silly and boring tactics especially away from home.
Nowhere decent in Lincoln but could try travel lodge in Sleaford or Grantham. Will probably drive up from Hampshire. All the hotels in Lincoln appear sold out! Does anyone know a decent spot nearby to stay?
Great post. Disagree about Morgan though.Big game for Critch tomorrow, cos he hasnt started well. He seems terrified of failure and a bit rabbit in headlights to me. Yes i quite like Morgan but I'm not convinced he's better than what we had really. We may see more from him as he settles in and if we can get better as a team. Must be frustrating playing in our midfield at the minute.Great post. Disagree about Morgan though.
He looks good to me - early days of course.

We now have more attacking options but Lavery Beesley Rhodes Kouassi and injured Joseph seems to me to be well short of what we had ladt time in L1. I hope I'm proved wrong.
I'm glad I got out of Lytham in the 80s. I couldn't live with the stench of your negativity hanging in the air 24/7.We still have zero creativity especially with this lob sided formation. Midfielders are all very average apart from Norburn. Lyons and Hamilton get no support apart from overlapping runs from Husband and Casey which won’t happen away from home.
We will do very well to get a 0-0 draw today.

Plenty of fans seem to have managed not to catch your disease while watching Blackpool.Apologies, I caught it off watching Blackpool’s performances and negative tactics.

Not a criticism but is he actually fit to play?Just getting ready to set off with my daughter and feeling positive. My daughters prediction for today is Rhodes to come on a score a 98th minute winner, we win 1-0. Mine is 2-0 with Lavery and Weir getting the goals. Come on pool.
It absolutely baffles me. It’s like watching a film on a TV with no sound. Very frustrating but it can be easily resolved by buying a new TV. Same with Critchley by admitting his tactics have failed and to try something else. Even if he wants to stick with this silly 3-5-2, at least play the wing backs in their correct positions.
She is thinking that he will come on as a sub second half to get the winner. He has been training with Huddersfield so he must be fit, probably just not match fit yet.Not a criticism but is he actually fit to play?
He’s not played a game yet for Udders (I stand corrected) so it wouldn’t surprise me if he needs to get up to speed first.
He played 62 mins v Boro in't Carabao. Not a criticism but is he actually fit to play?

And most importantly let’s hope he’s fully fit to hit the ground running.
I've done that with lavery 1st goal scorerToday there will be a big turnaround. We will win comfortably.
0-3.
UTMP.
I’d like to see Thompson at left wing back and Lyons on the right. Try a bit more of a traditional approach.
Thompson is another player (as per CJ) who has been written off by negative Blackpool fans.
I think you'd best tell your 'friend' to get to the back of the queue ...Where’s Cookson Street again - asking for a friend
300!?!? In true Trump style: "I demand a recount!!!"You wouldn't but his close on 300 appearances suggest he has something to offer. Nice turn of phrase by the way.
But he seems to be using a little-known aftershave at the moment going by the name of 'Fire Retardent'.Law of averages we will concede as we can’t keep getting clean sheets, which would mean we’d have to score 2 to win. Hmmmmm!!! Mind you if Beesley catches fire anything’s possible
Perhaps they've all been vaccinated by their local GP.Plenty of fans seem to have managed not to catch your disease while watching Blackpool.
