LINCOLN REACTION | NEIL CRITCHLEY.

Not watched it but presumably defending the indefensible? No luck, not cut us open, controlled the game, strikers need to take their chances when they come, we need some good fortune, trust the process etc etc ?

After suffering listening to it, I couldn't have summarised it better myself

"If we'd have got the third goal it would have been 2-1 and things might have been different "
Six hours without a goal now , the style , team selection and tactics are truly awful, any positive coach could have won the previous 4 games IMO.

heard the pm on lancs . if thats the same interview. just have to take this one and move on asap. dont seriously think CRITCH or anyone at BLOOMERS think that we will be anywhere near the top of this DIV any time soon. could be FISHFINGER CITY . Already in the LEAGUE one drop zone.

Did you own any of it Neil? Your head scratching selection and set up with numerous players floundering because (bafflingly) you choose to play them out of position. The total lack of tempo, the turgid, predictable build up that is so easy to play against. Did you once jab your finger in your own chest and utter the words "mea culpa"? The same old "the operation was a success, but the patient died". A complere disconnect.

After a handful of games?
It did baffle me on his team selection FFS we’re bad enough with players in their correct positions & playing your best 11 might help a bit. 3 or 4 shots blazed over we are very poor.

Either you have watched it or you’re Critchley’s script writer.🤣

What he doesn't acknowledge is that all it took for their striker to put pressure on Norburn, and his tactics don't work. It's simple what needs to happen, get a couple of decent wide players in and go back to the system that worked for us last time we were in league one.

Yeah but to be saying had enough of him after 5 games is far too soon. If that's the case we'd be ploughing through managers before they've had any time at all.

As poor as it's been, anyone who's played or knows the game should know it takes time as snap decisions after a handful of games is rarely a great tactic.

I never said move him on as he did ok for us last time. But his team selection’s leave me wondering, not that we are blessed with overflowing talent.

I just listened to that, no responsibility taken whatsoever, just the players fault and bad luck, what a load of utter tosh. He even admitted he changed it at half time so we could play a bit of football. When you put a team out with a keeper and 7 defensive players everyone can see that's negative bullshit and Trybull can't even get in the squad, Thommo would be better as a wing back but is out in the cold. We have signed a load of players but apart from Norburn and Pennington, they are not players who are going to make an impact and improve the team, hopefully Rhodes will, but it's another cheap, lacklustre transfer window and we have now played 7 games and apart from 30 minutes against Burton and the second string at Derby we have been dog shit. Surely the players aren't enjoying this, the supporters sure as hell aren't, we look like a team that escaped relegation from league 1 last season and are on a transfer embargo.

Surely football os supposed to be entertaining? Quitchly and Sadler don't know the meaning of the word.

The fact is, he coaches these players on a daily basis, they are coached to play his tactics, it isn't working, maybe the players just aren't good enough. But he can't complain about the players carrying out his orders and getting tanked.

We’re needlessly throwing away points against opponents we should beat and that is due to ego supplanting playing the staff you do have in their best positions utilizing a system that plays to their strengths. Way to early to panic but time to address these basic manager shortcomings.

Steve Eyre said on the comms yesterday that he could guarantee that the starting 11 would never ever be selected to play that formation again.

Let’s hope he is correct 🙏🏻
