Liverpool and Celtic

I don’t understand what the Government has to do with the subject matter??. I don’t dispute that they are a corrupt bunch, but they aren’t the Royal Family (The head of whom, the National Anthem glorifies), they haven’t just been overtly displaying their wealth and excess, it isn’t their ‘Coronation’ etc… etc…

The Government is a separate topic altogether, so I don’t see any need to shoehorn them into a discussion about Royalty.
All part of the same corrupt Establishment

Celtic singing "You can shove your coronation up your arse" after the Lizzie in a box shite?

Liverpool fans booing the National Anthem live on TV?

If you support either of these teams hang your head in shame, your fellow fans are a disgrace to the UK.

If I was a fan I'd burn my scarf if that's what they're all about.
Turn your audio off then you won't have to hear those 'terrible' anti-royalists singing songs that hurt your feelings so much!😭😭😭😭😭

I’m accusing them of Poncing around in Golden Carriages and revelling in excess, whilst the Country is financially broken and hard working people are forced to beg borrow and steal to make ends meet.

So yes… They are responsible!
Can’t blame them for anything. Entertaining the good citizens in a golden carriages kind of comes with the job. They contribute to the economy.

You say the Country is financially broken. It certainly doesn’t look that way to me. Maybe on Sky or C4 news. Full football stadiums in Liverpool and Newcastle all so called deprived areas. Maybe some stealing in Liverpool but that is the norm with that lot.

I can blame them for whatever I like to be honest. And there’s nothing entertaining about it whatsoever.

I doubt much looks like it actually is to you, you seem as out of touch with reality as you are with the times.

Must be entertaining for people to camp out for days to get a glimpse of it. It went down well in other Countries as well. I was talking to a foreigner this morning. Showed me their king and queen in attendance and very pleased about it. Quite a few 2 street parties near my house loads of flags and bunting out.

I wouldn't pretend to be a fan of either set of supporters but both clubs will have plenty of supporters who are embarrassed by the actions of their fellow supporters.

Liverpool supporters on social media seem to be really pushing their "Scouse not English" agenda.

I support Blackpool Football Club. At 3pm [ or 7-45 or whenever] I don't condemn or support any political or religious viewpoints during a match I just want everyone to support my club for 90 minutes and leave other affiliations to one side.

That’s not entertainment, it’s a lack of self-worth / respect.

There’s nothing indecent about voicing your disgust at an Anthem that celebrates such an institution that (whichever way you look at it) is totally and utterly wrong on every level.

In fact I’d argue that it’s our collective duty as decent Human Beings to be honest.

As far as Taking the Knee is concerned. The act of taking the knee is (in itself) a stance against something which is fundamentally wrong.
Wow, worst post I’ve read on this forum. I think there should be a new anti woke, anti British party named fuck you.
Oh and by the way you couldn’t lace King Henry VIII boots you traitor. Wanker.

Been Googling for ages but can't find a pair of Henry VIII boots anywhere.

That said he was probably shit at football as he was a murderous, psychopathic fat fuck.

Derogatory chants have been made on football terraces for over a century.

Let's not pretend a few chants by a few numpties is something new.

Such faux outrage. I wish people were as angry about the fact people are freezing in their homes and using food banks.
It wasn't a few, it was the whole ground.

Footwear in the 16th century didn't lace up. Slip ons or buckle. Here to inform, entertain and educate, much like the BBC.

Are you ok you precious little snowflake?

Crying about someone booing a national anthem on a forum is pretty snowflakey pal 😂
I'm not interested in your opinion pal, firstly I wasn't "crying" as you put it, secondly I can't stand people disrespecting our flag or our country, try that in certain parts of the world and you wouldn't see daylight for a long time, fortunately for these people we live in a democracy that is easy going on anti establishment people.

I've never been a monarchist and as such chose not to watch the coronation yesterday. Yes, we have freedom of speech in the UK, quite rightly too, but this is frequently used to disrespect others and that is an abuse of the right. If you don't want to sing the national anthem, then don't sing it, but booing it is not only disrespectful to the monarchy, but also abuses the respect of those that do want to sing it. Sadly there are many in the UK, who are either unwilling or unable to voice opinions in a respectful way, and seemingly don't care what impact they have on others. If this had been an occasion to mourn the loss of a person in the monarchy, would they still react in the same way, and in doing so mock someone's death?
Bang on, well said!

Agreed with that till the last sentence. People who had arranged their legal protest with the Met were arrested when they turned up. A bloke in a T shirt with three words, non offensive, was arrested. An accredited journalist was filming said arrest and also arrested. We are kidding ourselves if we think we currently live in a democracy where peaceful protest is allowed.
