Looks like I will bê in the UK this Christmas for the first time since Dec 2018 ... Never lamded in London airports any Idea which is easier for someone picking up from Blackpool... easier to find /.less stresful etc. Heathrow or Gatwick ???? Arriving on a Wednesday about 4pm If that helps

Was looking at home guys Middlesbro looks tempting !!! Would be my 7 year old sons first game !!!

Good to hear you can get over Scotty 👍🏻

If you’re driving from Heathrow, I’d go M40-M6 and I’d use the toll road too. M40 means you’re only on the M25 for a few junctions.

If you can do it in 3.5hrs you’ve done VERY well based on my experience of doing the drive. Taken me double that before.

If you fly with Ryanair, London West Midlands will be nearer😉

If you are coming from Brazil you might find it easier flying to Lisbon and then Lisbon to Manchester.

I've taken the train to Gatwick before - good service.

Also flown from Heathrow to Manchester - again, decent service.

Always do this...for some reason this time that flight is mega expensive while Brazil - Lisbon - London airports a bit cheaper??

Strange - when I've looked it has always been a little more expensive to Manchester over London but not a lot. Maybe have a look at Easyjet or Ryanair for the Lisbon to Manchester leg - they will be cheap but you will need to add on your bags which will probably cost as much as the flight.
