Luke Littler

I've watched that 9 darter video about 20 times now. It's joyous. The laser accuracy and then the celebration with his opponent. He makes it look so easy but what he is doing is nothing short of incredible.

Worth seeing the one he does on YouTube as a 14 year old.
And nobody is paying attention except his hapless opponent 😁

I just hope he remains level headed and doesn’t mix with the wrong people. All that money could be a massive distraction but his dad persevered in getting him into darts so I’m sure he will look after him.
Luke said he hadn’t practiced since the Ally Pally but I just hope he doesn’t fall into the trap of thinking he can win everything without persistent practice. You hear about how much time these pros put into practising so he has to keep that mindset. Or maybe he has such a natural ability that he doesn’t need to.
One thing that most of us lay people probably didn’t know was that Luke was quite well known in the junior world of darts and a lot have said they spotted his potential at a very early age.
Good on the lad and I hope he has a great future; he certainly has time on his side to match Phil “The Power” Taylor.

I watched an interview with James Wade recently and he says darts is 99% natural. He said a normal person could practice all day every day for years and be competent but never get anywhere near the same level as the top pros.

Think that applies to most sports to be fair. Certainly golf and snooker.

Mentioned when he started winning at the World Championships that he had all the same hallmarks as when Ronnie O'Sullivan came on the scene of snooker aged 16 in the 1990's. They are once in a generation sporting geniuses.

Could win a second successive masters tournament beating Humphries on the way.
The lad will make millions out of the sport and fair play to him.
