This country is screwed! I only came back on the 18th,after nearly 3 month's backpacking in Nepal and Thailand...and on the evening of the 19th I'd booked flights to and from Morocco in January, 9 weeks apart! 😂.
Winter's a horrible time of year here, and the older I get the more I dread and hate it! Basically November - March is a write off, you may as well hibernate! I've decided that(pandemic or major family crisis apart) I won't be having anymore winter's here! The so-called 'government' are just the cherry on the icing! Have all the Tory leadership hopefuls got to have a go at governing the country, or at least getting a high ranking cabinet job?! It's bizarre. After 12 years of this shambles (and it's getting worse) we've now got over 2 years to wait before we can end this garbage, hopefully consigning the Tory Party to the dustbin of history for the foreseeable! And now there's talk of bringing Johnson back to 'save' us... OMFG!!! 🤦‍♂️

I like to do other things with my time rather than write detailed posts on here. If you havent seen or noticed all the scandals, lies, corruption , lack of sensitivity or compassion from this man , which have been widely discussed and published , including by Conservatives( even going back to him being sacked from the Times in his first job for making up a quote) then whatever I write wont convince you. You havent been paying attention.

Explain then why there is a cross party committee currently investigating whether he deliberately misled the House.

Explain why he lied to the Queen in order to prorogue Parliament.

Explain why he denied there were any parties during lockdown then received a fixed penalty notice.

He won’t be the next PM, but let’s wait until the privileges committee concludes their investigation before he’s condemned.

Of course he made mistakes, who hasn’t, and who can say they abided by all lockdown rules.

I'm saying that's a question of what a "party" is and also his perception of what a particular gathering was, the evidence being that he attended for a few minutes for a specific purpose and then left.

Oh no, I did pretty much follow the rules, I was a key worker and worked throughout. Nevertheless, even I sometimes failed.

I was a keyworker too and felt obligated to break the rules wherever possible. Bankrupting the country and stress testing the mental health of the nation is not my bag.

Well eyewitnesses have Boris turning up to one event where there was lots of food and wine at 8.00 pm and staying until the early hours.
That sounds like a party, or at least not in keeping with his own covid rules.
Others received fixed penalty notices for this one. You would have to ask the Met why Boris didn’t get one?
Possibly as rumoured because he never filled out and returned their questionaire?
No I can’t prove all that, but if I was a Tory member I wouldn’t be expecting him to get a clean bill of health about him not lying to Parliament, so I wouldn’t vote for him.

Go and discuss that with the relatives who lost loved ones to Covid and couldn't even visit them before. He was negligent in his handling of covid , meanwhile all the partying and drinking in the no 10 building. Anyway hes finished now . He should crawl under a stone or emigrate, but he will earn a stack of money for after dinner speeches for people who are half cut ( with no serious content thats for sure).
