When CJ and Madine are both fully fit, they should start in place of Ward and Simms. Both of which should then be on the bench. Out of those on the bench against Portsmouth I'd guess Lubala and Thornily would probably miss out.

I’d be surprised if either of them were thrown straight in to a starting 11, they’ve been off a few weeks CJ even more than Madine so it’ll be a case of bed them in slowly I’d imagine.

I wouldn't disagree but Critchley prefers players who are more versatile on the bench. He'd keep Turton as he can probably cover right back, right centre back and holding midfield positions if needed.

Madine won't be match ready to be a lone striker. Anyway, it's not his style: big man/little man, Madine/Yates. That's how it works.
