Thank Christ he's available for selection again!
Some on here won't agree with you, but I do .... some muscle & fight back in the teamThank Christ he's available for selection again!
It's predictable that he will always be beaten in the air because he only looks at the defender, never the ball.I'm also pleased he's available for selection again, and he'll be well rested
As JJP says, he gives us the long ball option because he's our only real target man.
The issue I have is that, rather than mix short and long passing, we tend to launch the long balls most of the time when GM is playing, which becomes predictable at times.
So what are Madine's strengths as I haven't seen any ?Worth playing him with Jerry close by to pick up the knock downs - both strong lads.
If we play Gaz - we've got to play to his strengths, and not expect him to play like Messi.
Jerry, Gaz and Theo if it's a 433 ... & spend the two week break hypnotising Theo to pass to a team mate in the box.
I think the word that's generally used is shithousery. So what are Madine's strengths as I haven't seen any ?
Perhaps if he's close enough he can lift Madine off the ground to head the ball.I think the word that's generally used is shithousery.
Too often we play him but teammates are too far away. Strong he is, pacy he ain't.
If we play him we need Jezzer nearby.
Who would you play* instead of him then? Because it’s been proven over the last 2 games that Jerry easily becomes isolated when playing upfront on his own.Perhaps if he's close enough he can lift Madine off the ground to head the ball.
He does a fantastic flop to the floor whilst flailing his arms… it’s awesome. So what are Madine's strengths as I haven't seen any ?
Someone should insert some early Gaz Yates partnership dvds into Appletons player. An in form Jerry with Big Gaz is a good combination
Defending cornersSo what are Madine's strengths as I haven't seen any ?
Why,?An in form Jerry with Big Gaz is a good combination
Because in our promotion season they scored 30+ goals between them. Is that s good enough reason? Why,?
Isn't he supposed to be a "striker" ??????Defending corners
He's so marmite is GM but I agree with you in that he does get his head to many opposition corners yet rarely looks like heading a goal for us. Bit bizarre.Isn't he supposed to be a "striker" ??????
It's for the manager to work out this conundrum. You don't play high balls into players like Yates. You need to get wide and play low ball into the danger areas. Then Gerry will come into his own, as may Lavery.Who would you play* instead of him then? Because it’s been proven over the last 2 games that Jerry easily becomes isolated when playing upfront on his own.

Madine is usually just a passenger in my humble opinion.
You will all be assimilated. When he plays I never see him as a key component of the team and always seem to have him on my list of ‘could be replaced’, that is until he doesnt play and we seem to miss him badly!
Utter rubbish.Perhaps if he's close enough he can lift Madine off the ground to head the ball.
It's because in open play he is too slow to get onto the end of a cross, and when we have a corner the delivery is usually not that great, so it's not all down to his limitations. He's so marmite is GM but I agree with you in that he does get his head to many opposition corners yet rarely looks like heading a goal for us. Bit bizarre.
Did he play at QPR? I can't remember. If he did then fair play to him, I thought that was our best 90 minutes of this season, in terms of looking like an organised functioning team.Michael Appleton pinpoints one player who has been a big miss for Blackpool
Michael Appleton admits Gary Madine will be a big miss for Blackpool at Millwall today.www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk
Bang on the money anyone who thinks we play better without Gaz in the side is deluded he makes the side tick and until someone comes along better he must start.
Does that include stamping on an opponent?Best player at shithousery in the league!
Behave he’s not the first and he won’t be the last and it’s nowhere near as bad as the hand of God and that’s cheating!Does that include stamping on an opponent?
This is probably the one and only time that Maradona and Madine will be mentioned in the same discussion!!Behave he’s not the first and he won’t be the last and it’s nowhere near as bad as the hand of God and that’s cheating!
Disagree. We could play the ball through the middle to his feet with his back to the defence and he can lay it off.If we had defenders who could play it out from the back there would be no need for Madine. But we don’t we have to go long so that’s why at the moment we need him .
Height, strength, retains the ball well in comparison to our other forwards, bullies defenders, defensive abilities, occasional goal, occasional assist. So what are Madine's strengths as I haven't seen any ?
Clutching at straws. The guy's dog shit. Hate to say it but the fanboy stuff is just a reaction to the obvious - he's gash. People get too attached to their view. He'll do some good physicality in the next game and I'll have a load of goons jumping up and down I'm sure, until he does the same in ten games time.Another thread saying the player needed is the player missing.
Completely insulting and unfair! But, it's your view so it's allowed.Clutching at straws. The guy's dog shit. Hate to say it but the fanboy stuff is just a reaction to the obvious - he's gash. You need to watch the games more carefully.Utter rubbish.
