Mansford

Blaming everything on Mansford needs to stop.

This relegation is down to 90% of the fans who made the atmosphere around the club so toxic that we had no choice but to sack appleton (who would have definitely kept us up) and hire a dinosaur. If you had backed the team rather than turn on them we wouldn't be in this situation now. Shame on all of you.
Karl, is that you?

Rubbish, the team were backed, the atmosphere may have been a bit flat bit there was only a few times he got chanted at.

The mistake was appointing a know manager who would divide and would never build a connection with fans.

It was entirely predictable what would happen.

Mansford is an easy target considering he's an outsider and getting paid a large wage.

But the truth is, none of us really know what's gone on. I very much doubt Sadler was saying "yeah Ben, 15k a week for Brannigan is fine, go ahead" and Ben is saying "no no no , we must remember who we are". It's not his money after all.

The thing that gets me is the talking the club down but to be honest in the blur of depression I don't even recall how much of that was coming from BM.

That being said, this season has been a disaster and nothing would annoy me more than a "well, it was inevitable considering how minuscule we are" attitude so we need changes and he is the obvious candidate.

There are 3 key factors in determining the success of any club.
Firstly, the level of investment in the playing squad and also off the field.
Secondly, the quality of the scouting network and working with agents and contacts throughout the game.
Thirdly, the selection of the manager and his support staff.
Of course Mansford is a key player, but so are other members of the board and mistakes have been made by the board as a whole.

True and Gerrity has already gone, 2 recruitment top jobs, gone , 3 managers, gone,so that just leaves 2 people, Mansford and Sadler, they are the 2 people who make all the big decions. Mansford has been found wanting so he will be gone and that leaves the owner, on his own, sat in his throne with no one around him. How is he going to retrieve it?

Where to start with you eh? You either don't understand, or you just choose to be a **. Bit of both probably.
One minute you're defending Mansford to the hilt and making excuses for him and the next your blaming him. Just stating it as it is.

That's not how it is. It's how your narrow, bent mind interprets stuff. It's the singling out I had a problem with and said so plenty of times. The problem has been a collective one and it includes Sadlers approach and his inexperience.

Agreed Pete, but the key is that he is the identified, appointed and indeed self proclaimed ‘expert’. I totally get SS saying ‘I run the show, I own it, but I am not qualified in this area so advise me’.

This clown has consistently peddled utter tripe, he has gone missing in action, and quite frankly is his own biggest fan. It is far to place the proverbial can in his hands.

Mansford’s CV is impressive which begs the question… why is he so incompetent in this position at our club?
Perhaps an extreme comparison but Jimmy Saville could have presented an impressive CV on paper.

BM ultimately answers to the owner but his position and salary makes him culpably for a lot of what has gone wrong this season.

Barnsley fans seemed to love him, but I think he’s struggled to ‘get’ us as a fan base. I still maintain that his willingness to give it the big one in interviews and not deliver is what’s cost him.
However, from older interviews etc, he seems to have strengthened our commercial side of things and revenue streams.

A consistent argument actually.

But I've got things on today. And hopefully every day. I need to avoid being "sucked into 20's whirlpool of misery" as someone advised me in
a PM a couple of days ago.

Cheers! Have a nice day.
just had a lovely six mile walk at Knott End with the wife and dog. No whirlpool of misery from me at all. Read the thread, plenty of people question Mansfords decisions but you on the other thread continued to make excuses for him and on this you criticise him Just saying it as it is.

As the CEO of a company thats colossally failed by and large by having no contingency planning in place then obviously he has to either resign or be sacked

Theres no other options Im afraid.

Surely the biggest revenue stream is having circa £7m extra by being in the Championship? 🤔

I just said collective not one person. I've never ever said I think he's great. I don't. There's a bigger problem.

I see Bishop has scored again. 😆
