To even put Waghorn in the same bracket as Phillips and Vardy is a little daft.
Waghorn couldn't hold a candle to either of those players

I feel by January we'll be looking for an older head up top to play alongside the young guys.
A big lump, bit of a hard man that scores the odd goal as well.

I can't see this one happening, he lives in Derby, his lad is part of Derby's academy and he's been playing for Derby in pre season. In all honesty I wouldn't be upset if we didn't get him. Experienced he may be but I have never particularly rated him.

He always seems a tenacious hard case handful to me. On the right terms he'd be an asset in my book.
If Derby want him, then I doubt he'll come to Blackpool - surely he's their prodigal son?
By way of further comparison - a mate of mine supports Derby and apparently, they've sold circa 22,000 season tickets so far.

1. Billy Sharp
2. Chris Martin
3. Martin Waghorn

No L1 club is exactly pulling up trees this last couple or weeks.
