Let’s hope so.Won't he want to go back to Derby?
According to Twitter. We've gone from looking at signing young up and coming players to trying to recruit the cast of Dads army in Waghorn and Martin!!
Is that not gospel on hereAccording to Twitter.
It is but it falls way short of Factamundo! Is that not gospel on here
All of our strikers are fairly young, it makes complete sense to have an older head amongst themWe've gone from looking at signing young up and coming players to trying to recruit the cast of Dads army in Waghorn and Martin!!
There's old and then there's OLDAll of our strikers are fairly young, it makes complete sense to have an older head amongst them
He's only 33. Kevin Phillips did a job for us and he was nearly 40 at the timeThere's old and then there's OLD
To even put Waghorn in the same bracket as Phillips and Vardy is a little daft. He's only 33. Kevin Phillips did a job for us and he was nearly 40 at the time
Jamie Vardy's no spring chicken either, and he still scores a handfull
Only if you believe it.Is that not gospel on here
I feel by January we'll be looking for an older head up top to play alongside the young guys. All of our strikers are fairly young, it makes complete sense to have an older head amongst them
AbsolutelyAll of our strikers are fairly young, it makes complete sense to have an older head amongst them
But they can (could) play. He's only 33. Kevin Phillips did a job for us and he was nearly 40 at the time

Kevin Phillips was thr fittest in the squad, not the fattest. He's only 33. Kevin Phillips did a job for us and he was nearly 40 at the time

I can't see this one happening, he lives in Derby, his lad is part of Derby's academy and he's been playing for Derby in pre season. In all honesty I wouldn't be upset if we didn't get him. Experienced he may be but I have never particularly rated him.
If clubs are in the lookout for an experienced striker, they will all be looking at the same players:According to what I've read Derby have a preferred alternative to Waghorn if they can land him and probably wouldn't want to sign them both.
One footed and never tracked back the lazy git. Proper show pony with his slicked back hair and sand dune running.Stan Matthews was 32 when we signed him.
GoodNot happening
But he could playStan Matthews was 32 when we signed him.
Oh fuck we might actually be signing himNot happening
And Marty’s a South Shields lad like the other Stan!Stan Matthews was 32 when we signed him.
And we believe you. After your Scott Banks prediction I would definitely keep my head down if I was you!Not happening
Thank heavens for that.From Gazette:
"Blackpool-linked Martyn Waghorn is poised to sign for Derby County on a free transfer, as per a report by DerbyshireLive. The 33-year-old, who was released by Coventry City earlier this summer, has been training with the Rams over recent times. He is now set to put pen-to-paper on a deal with the Rams as they look to bolster their attacking options."
Only 5 goals in the last 3 matches for themSee be scored a hat-trick for them today .. and they supposedly have no money!
Waghorn O Beesley 2 when we played them!Only 5 goals in the last 3 matches for them
I know who will be scoring more league goals this season and it won’t be Beesley.Waghorn O Beesley 2 when we played them!
Sure but we shouldn't judge players on a game or two.I know who will be scoring more league goals this season and it won’t be Beesley.
