So with Marvin on 3 yellows before today, and getting 2 today for 5, does that mean it's a 1 game ban for 5 yellows and 1 for the red? Same for Thompson who was on 4 yellows going into today? Because if so, that's 3 big players out next weekend...

Surely can't have both can you?
 
Don't want to play Thompson against them anyway, he'd only set up their goals and end up losing his head and getting sent off. Hopefully Lavery will have it overturned.

The only appeal could be Laverys on the basis he was flattened but the FA will counter with he shouldn’t have been on the pitch as he was substituted. Ekpiteta and Thompson not worth the effort!
 
The thing is, you think it's bad but against Hull we'll swap Thompson for Husband, Lavery for Corbeanu (prob would've played anyway), and so the only issue is Marv who is a big miss. But he should be back for PNE shouldn't he?
 
Thompson sent off for getting clattered and showing annoyance.
Marv: Playing away you can expect the ref to give a soft yellow against the back four. The second yellow was 'quite clear'
Lavery sent off for taunting Fotheringham, Shayne stood still and waited for the fist to land on his face.
Connelly had a tennis moment without a racquest
Maxwell got pole-axed for the equaliser
Baldock tried to cut Yates in half.

David Webb needs to hang up his cards.
 
Great fun in the away end, support was immense. Maxwell was full of shithousery, fantastic, but won’t say what he was saying to our fans in case he gets in hot water.

Clear foul for the equaliser, but the ref wasn’t even watching. Linesman was a disgrace, spots the penalty, misses that foul, doesn’t make ref aware of the head injury and tells ref that Lavery should be sent off for being shoved to the ground.

If only CJ had scored at the end.
 
I don’t know how far off Hubby is?

Might be Garbs back at LB? Has to be Williams as he can’t put Connolly there nor could he really put Dougall there with the loanee left on the bench (unless someone can usefully nobble Williams before Wednesday?)

I might be imagining it, but I think MA said last week that Hubby would be ready for Wednesday. Can anyone else confirm?

Small chance of wed, if not Saturday.

We can cope without him and he won't be matchfit either.

Garbutt should be available.
 
I stand to be corrected but I think Eky's red means a one match ban and he goes back to being on three and likewise for Thompson it's a one match ban and he goes back to 4.
I can't see Lavery's as anything other than violent conduct, in the eyes of the the man pretending to be a qualified referee, which will be 3 match ban.
 
We should still be a good side wed and Sat.

Or any combination, we still have options.

For the nobbers Marv should be back and so Thompson... if we want him to play.

If we play like we have been but with a bit more defensive quality, well be just fine, very impressive today, just a shame the way it ended.

I'm not convinced with Garbutt's defending. But then, I'm not convinced with any of our defending atm.
I hope Hubby starts, with Garbutt coming on if he can't last the full 90.

What did he do, someone said splitting up some players and then I saw him get flattened.

Appeal it, if we want him for the pne game

I'm not, he's been poor, but so has Thompson in other ways so is there a lot to lose? Plus he is decent going forward and at set plays.

We can't defend so all out attack.

Tbh I think with the players we have available, that's the way we've got to approach the game on Weds.

Thompson is an absolute liability that if husband is fit would hope his suspension lasts until the end of the season. Cost us goals repeatedly in recent games & to give that crap ref chance to send him off whilst on a booking shows a lack of professionalism for his teammates. Makes Scott Darton my favourite ever BFC left back.

Was just an example, but at home we play a more attacking line up.

Also it'll be 3 games in short time so not all the same will play.

I'd be happy to see Kenny too after today, but might save him a little for the nobbers.

Hes been playing a bit further forward with Bridcutt doing the dirty side further back, so he's pressing from the front, he's looked much better since.

I think anyone can see he's a hot head. He's a good player on his day but at this point in time I wouldn't trust him to keep his cool against Preston.

Dom - Hull for 5 plus Sat for the red?

Not sure anyone knows, but surely you can't do both the red and yellow bans.

So should be as you say, also, if we appeal and its not decided in time Lavery might be available for Sat anyway.
 
From what I can tell (and it’s not easy to find the info online) if a player is sent off in a match none of the yellow cards count. So possibly Thompson and Marv only miss Hull and don’t get any additional yellows to their total from today. Like I said, the info is not from the best source so could be wrong.

It does make sense though, in effect the red card and 1 match ban is punishment enough without adding the accumulation on top.

Ben Cabango of Swansea was shown two yellow cards and obviously sent off earlier this season in a match. He was also booked today at Burnley. He is listed as only having 1 yellow card to his name.
