Marv

Yep, hope we can sign Thorniley, who was clearly out of favour with Critch.

Jerry will deservedly get the plaudits today, but Marv was outstanding. Those two perfectly timed challenges towards the end had to be perfect, or either would have been a pen.

I thought we saw the game out well today, and Marv's assured performance helped massively.

He's even carrying and passing the ball much better too, which for me was a weakness in his game.

Hope we can keep Marv and Jordan, excellent partnership developing. 👏 👏 👏

Class again and also agree with the Thornily comments. Been a massive fan of his for a long time.

Marv is quality but he plays best when hes not got the ball at his feet if that makes sense. 3 touches at most and then pass it to a ball player.

Thought Thorniley had broke his wrist on the lead up to half time?
He was in agony and holding his hand at a funny angle.

Strong performance once again by him. Marv was imperious today.

Finally Connolly is a real warrior. He was battered and bruised but he murdered their CB for the header to Madine. Lovely stuff

Building a nice partnership aren't they.

Thorniley isn't the quickest but today ij that incident where he hurt himself he showed how reading the game can overcome pace at times.

Totally agree - he read that run so well !! The guy would of been away but he defended that so well

Premiership bound, quality
Seriously? He’s nowhere near good enough for the Prem and let’s not forget how shaky he’s been until Maxi came back into the team which was only 3 games ago! Having said that he’s definitely heading in the right direction and is gaining in confidence and improving but let’s be realistic.

I admit I was one that always pointed out that Thorniley was lacking both height & pace but I have to confess that he is slowly becoming a favourite of mine , I love his attitude.

Both centre backs top class . I have theory on Thomson when he has time he seems to play the wrong pass but under pressure excellent never gets skinned .

Maybe get him contact lenses with a silhouette of a man close by in them?
