Just one of Critchley’s terrible decisions this season was to loan him back to Tranmere. Could have done with him tonight, even if it was just off the bench.
Would have come on for CJ at right fcujing wing back and told to run up and down the line in b%stard straight lines like a tw*tting robotI’m glad he’s not here now, he would have been misused or unused by NC.
Far too creative and off the cuff for him and also likely to question him.
No good that for Mr Safe.
This is mate. Our players are on a netball court with no go zones and defined areas.Would have come on for CJ at right fcujing wing back and told to run up and down the line in b%stard straight lines like a tw*tting robot
Yeah bizarre really when you think of it with Bowler, lets not forget he also tried to play Keshi Anderson as a box to box centre midThis is mate. Our players are on a netball court with no go zones and defined areas.
Apter just plays with freedom and goes for it.
What I don’t get is, Critchley managed to get Josh Bowler freed up in a 4-4-2 for us in a higher league against better midfield’s…
But he’s struggling like fuck to do it in this League?
Well said Cat. He’s playing for a team in the bottom half of the 4th tier and despite his goal Tranmere got beat at home by Morecambe. The o/p conveniently left that out plus the fact that is Apters first goal for them. Can we stop talking this lad up as if he'll be the Messiah when he returns!
You conveniently state it's his first goal for them when actually it's his 7th. So maybe you haven't got a clue.Well said Cat. Let’s see how he gets on against Stockport tomorrow!
As Cat says why do some people make it a big issue when any ex players of ours or indeed loaners score a goal.
Bowler, Patino, Yates, etc etc, give us a break.
Maybe it’s become an issue because our own players don’t seem able to score at presentWell said Cat. Strange post, as mentioned by Voy he has scored a good few plus a couple of assists. I take it you haven’t been paying much attention.Well said Cat. I am sure the club will update us at some point. Probably the next fans meeting to decide whom to have a meeting with.It seems strange that a lauded coach with more coaching badges than you can shake a stick at would loan out a promising young talent rather than coach him himself ?
Voy, FYI I googled Apter and that is where I got the one goal fromYou conveniently state it's his first goal for them when actually it's his 7th. So maybe you haven't got a clue.
And my mate who is a ST holder at Stockport said he was head and shoulders the best player on the park at edgeley earlier in the season and wanted to know how he doesn't play for us. Was bemused as to why we would loan him out.
Voy, FYI I googled Apter and that is where I got the one goal from
I do have a clue about football but I’m just not in the habit of watching other teams results to use as an excuse to slag our manager off.
So if Apter was head and shoulders the best player on the park at Edgley then he should be even better at home.
and you can bet your bottom dollar that if he had a mare, missed 2 open goals and a penalty then not one single word would be said.
Well your research skills are obviously pretty poor and you have clearly taken no interest in how Apter has been getting on.Voy, FYI I googled Apter and that is where I got the one goal from

Indeed I know little about him as he only made 2 appearances for us, but, that is academic to some on here who can spot talent immediately. My further research has shown that Apter has scored 4 goals for Tranmere and not 7 as stated by Voy, which, bretty, as you should know is what this thread is about.Well your research skills are obviously pretty poor and you have clearly taken no interest in how Apter has been getting on.
He’s had man of the match plaudits, been in team of the week etc and the Tranmere fans rave about him.
I’m not sure how you can comment on a player you clearly know very little about.
Jesus, you will never get a job as a researcher. Voy is indeed correct, he has scored six league goals and one FA Cup goal which I believe does indeed make seven.Indeed I know little about him as he only made 2 appearances for us, but, that is academic to some on here who can spot talent immediately. No one has mentioned MOM or team of the week so clearly you have taken no interest in the thread title.
Maybe he is good at that level but that doesn’t necessarily mean he can hack it at the next level. so maybe Critch’s decision to loan him out was to give him plenty of match time and build his confidence.
But he scores some goals for Tranmere and suddenly Critch has made “another” cock up by sending him out on loan rather than having him warming the bench at Blackpool
And I get accused of not knowing much about football !

Fine, but you were wrong.Voy, FYI I googled Apter and that is where I got the one goal from

I’ll hold my hands up Voy but I do think my last sentence is right.Fine, but you were wrong.
It's just an IF statement though. Apter has had an excellent loan at Tranmere. There is an argument that he's done a lot better there than he would have done here, given our malaise and unwieldy formation with iffy wing backs.I’ll hold my hands up Voy but I do think my last sentence is right.

Tomorrow at 08.30 Matt. I'm sewing your initials on this quilted gilet right now, why do they have to be fuck ing quilted?! Bring your own bong - you might need it.Right now, we could put together a very handy 4231 formation but for the lack of an additional technically able and mobile player to play in one of the wide roles behind the striker...
Joseph combines just a tiny hint of Madine with a lot of Yates. Sonny is a lovely link man who ghosts into spaces and would be freed by a double pivot behind him. Dembele would be just ** gorgeous wide. Little Rob Apter is a fizzing mobile chaos engine. All of them are mobile and can swap and all know where the goal is.
Stick 2 from Norburn, Byers and Morgan behind in a silk and steel screen
Go with Jimmy, Marv, Casey and Gabes (3 of the promotion winning back 4) and let one wide player bomb on
Grimmy and his bong in goal putting out clouds of sweet smoke.
It's a tangerine dream.
When do I start in the job?
You’re last sentence is a hypothetical statement so you’re talking crapI’ll hold my hands up Voy but I do think my last sentence is right.

We're ok with you having Gaz in a motivational role but we don't want him anywhere near the grass. You seem to be under the impression that you can wear whatever you want, and chop and change. This is not the case. Match day clothing will be provided. After a very brief induction you will be ferried to Peterborough by your old acquaintance from your podcast who now works in our media dept. He will be running through the key jargon like "through the lines" and "between the lines", "half space", "overloads" and "on the half turn" so that you don't mess up in public in your first post match interview. He will also supply you with a set of questions that our post match interviewer will set you after the game, along with the answers. You'll need to use the journey down to memorise these.I appreciate it but I'm going for the dapper gaffer best man at a wedding look then on Tuesday, it's the moulded Adidas football boots and tracksuit bottoms with a rain jacket.
Formation and sartorial elements sorted.
I'll get Gary's number off one of the lads. He'll sort out anyone who isn't listening as I give my 14 hour teamtalk.
Piece of piss this.
For fucks sake. Not him. I've got a sneaking suspicion that Critch is just a puppet and really he's in charge of the whole thing. We're ok with you having Gaz in a motivational role but we don't want him anywhere near the grass. He reminds me very much of Dembele. Direct, threatening and skillfull. Nightmare for the opposition.Jesus, you will never get a job as a researcher. Voy is indeed correct, he has scored six league goals and one FA Cup goal which I believe does indeed make seven.
Don’t know if you watched the Charlton game but it was 1-1 with about twenty minutes left and we desperately needed a goal. Dembele was flagging and we had no-one on the bench to bring on to change the game. Apter could have been that man but you prefer to put your trust in Critchley’s judgement. I would suggest that trust is misplaced.
I obviously watch the clips of Rob and I did put a Tranmere game on to watch just before his "breakthrough" when he came on as a sub and livenned things up.He reminds me very much of Dembele. Direct, threatening and skillfull. Nightmare for the opposition.
Some folk on here should make it their homework to watch all his goals and assists.
Because he can’t be arsed with our youth now he’s a big boys manager. He likes to play with bigger teams youth players on loan instead because they come with some kudos. It seems strange that a lauded coach with more coaching badges than you can shake a stick at would loan out a promising young talent rather than coach him himself ?
7 goalsI think it was the right decision to allow him a full season there whilst he develops his game further and come back ready to influence our first team next season.
Just cos he has scored a goal all the fuss resurfaces.
I hope he scored 27 goals. It proves it was wise to send him there for the season.
He got an assist. He's made a big difference to Tranmere.Tranmere won 4-0 .He didn't score or make an assist
What about transition? It's THE key football word. We're ok with you having Gaz in a motivational role but we don't want him anywhere near the grass. The Trannies are the experts apparently - see Adkins interview from yesterday's post-match.What about transition? It's THE key football word.
Nigel Adkins enthusiasm for the game is second to noneAdkins talking about RA at 5 mins....
