You’d have thought he’d have changed his name to NutRoast at least. In that case, surprised he's lasted this long.
Too soon?
I believe it’s one of the top ten all-time sellers. (Yeah. I have it. Don’t we all?)RIP - The Bat out of Hell album is simply one of the best albums EVER!
Considering it was his debut album, albeit written by Jim Steinman, it was an incredible introduction to his music - and it never got any better - but then again how could it?
No it wasn't.His name was Robert Paulson.
RIP
Fight ClubNo it wasn't.
Reminds me of my great-grandfather's passing.Just said on the radio that he died with his wife by his side.
Hope he wasn't driving.
That's cos you don't talk about it.I always forget he's in it.
Now to be known simply as Brown Bread....You’d have thought he’d have changed his name to NutRoast at least.
That was probably the one i went to. He had a massive motorbike on stage. Was it the Bad Attitude tour?Saw him at Preston Guildhall back in the day. The thing I remembered for years is how tight musically he and the band were. Like listening to the record. And this during a period when a lot of hard rock bands could barely get through a set.
Google tells me it was 29th Jan 1985 so 37 years ago next week. Bloody hell.
It was one of those albums that people of a certain age will know every word of every song, and think they can belt it all out after a drink.Had the vinyl Bat Out Of Hell album as a teenager. Now got the re-vamped CD version and still love a listen to this day.
RIP big man
And some people of the same age reach for the dial on the radio at pace to change station. It was one of those albums that people of a certain age will know every word of every song, and think they can belt it all out after a drink.
I can remember the motorbike, so probably yes. I have an image of the stage but I've been trying to remember something distinct and I can definitely recall him doing 'Paradise...' but I can't really remember 'Bat out of Hell' if I'm honest, which is a bit sad. I've probably still got the programme somewhere in a box in the loft. That was probably the one i went to. He had a massive motorbike on stage. Was it the Bad Attitude tour?

My grandfather was a man of few words, I’ll never forget his lastReminds me of my great-grandfather's passing.
He died peacefully in his sleep, unlike the passengers on his bus.
