I appreciate the jokey sentiment, but if their new owners start chucking money around, there’s every chance they could outspend and ultimately outperform the likes of City
 
Like any world class superstar footballer would want to live in the stoneage era up in Newcastle. Add to that having to play for what is now a morally bankrupt club thanks their caring humanitarian owners, FFS!

No chance not at this stage of the development of Newcastle. They aren't in the champions league, it'll take at least 5 yrs to get a half decent squad which will then attract even better players. It took city a fair amount of time to catch up to the likes of chelsea and United and then overturn them.
 
Might bookmark this Peter. Paris is hardly cracking the flags & if the Saudis offer his face as the new geordie brand & with absolute silly money to boot you never know. Could even fly luxury jet into Newcastle from say Barcelona for 2 or 3 days a week. Bet some players drive further to training.

There is more chance of getting a BJ off the queen than Messi playing for Newcastle. Wrong place at the wrong time, if the Saudis had bought Newcastle at the same time as city it would be a different matter as they'd be challenging for the champs league. If money was his driving factor he might as well go and play in China
 
If Messi wanted to play in England he would have gone to Citeh this summer as a free agent.

If Newcastle want to buy him they will have to pay a ridiculous transfer fee, he isn’t a free agent anymore.

He will do 18 months more and then head to Miami or LA (somewhere where Spanish is a widely spoken language)
and play for a few years in the MLS.

Meanwhile in January the barcodes can announce the signing of James Tarkowski…..

As I've already said, the best players didn't turn up at the Etihad straight away. It took a while for them to attract the best players, and Newcastle will be the same. Messi won't be signing for them. Ever.

Messi to Newcastle makes perfect now that they are simply a PR tool for the Saudis, global coverage, and part of the Saudis aim has to be to get more international coverage to put them on the recognition scale with Manure, Liverpool, Barca and Real et al
