I'm not one to say I told you so, but I ** told all the Boris lickers this was happening in March 2020.
Politics aside I’d give it one
Ah but she’s taken leave from being a duchess to clear her name. Apparently it’s all a storm in a D cup.Just settled down to read this from yesterday's paper. Mone and Barrowman should go to jail for this one. Pound to a penny they don't.
Seriously though, whoever approved the contract should be going to Jail with them. It’s misappropriation of public money.
This is not about political tit for tat its about morals, ethics and criminality. If you don't like bent Tory's help purge them out of the party!Pretty sure it is not just a Tory issue, think Scargill wanted a flat in London for life, and the Unite leader built a white elephant building from Union funds and think his mate got the contract
Spot on. Why would Gove have any knowledge of the detail? After all he's only the person who was in charge and, you would hope, accountable? Rotten to the core, the lot of them.Aaahhh... that would be a gullible junior civil servant who has been told to make out the purchase order by the PPS (ambitious Tory MP) to the relevant minister who fast-tracked his mates in the first place. That’s the way these corrupt people hide behind the system. No full paper trail. Plausible deniability. As shown by Gove when he was asked why he fast-tracked Mone’s company.
Well its clear Hancock knew and rejected Mone's approaches. If civil servants advising Gove did not red flag it then there has been some serious problems. I don't believe for one moment Gove did not know.Spot on. Why would Gove have any knowledge of the detail? After all he's only the person who was in charge and, you would hope, accountable? It's the exact definition of a racket. Right down to the threats of everyone 'having' to be locked up longer otherwise, which accelerated the panic buying.Utter scum. When Labour get in, they should hunt these parasites down - get the treaty signed with Honduras quietly and get her arrested. Seize everything she has and put it back into the treasury.
Invite her to a yacht party, weigh anchor, job doneNo extradition treaty in Honduras. Coincidence she's gone there, put her house and yacht up for sale for £30 million.
All the actions of someone trying to clear their name, with nothing to see.
Bugger, I am off to the Roatan (which is where she will likely be) in a couple of weeks - perhaps she she should go to San Pedro de Sula - she would not last long there with her blond hair. The woman should be tasting prison food in the UK.No extradition treaty in Honduras. Coincidence she's gone there, put her house and yacht up for sale for £30 million.
All the actions of someone trying to clear their name, with nothing to see.
Or even better purge the country of the Tory Party. This is not about political tit for tat its about morals, ethics and criminality. If you don't like bent Tory's help purge them out of the party!
You’re a bit feisty tonight.Or even better purge the country of the Tory Party.
I've had a whole world cup to formulate my new militancy. A foundation of Marx, via Robert Burns, Robert Tressell, George Orwell Charles Dickens and Gary Nevill...and hey! You’re a bit feisty tonight.
Some lackey will take the fall.Government is suing her company over medical gowns which the company strongly defends. Get the popcorn out.
You did all that in the first very boring 80 minutes of the WC Final?I've had a whole world cup to formulate my new militancy. A foundation of Marx, via Robert Burns, Robert Tressell, George Orwell Charles Dickens and Gary Nevill...and hey!
There is never enough for those obsessed with accumulation of wealth.Greed and corruption
Never really known why very rich people want more and more ??
I might be sounding nieve but ehsts your thoughts on why a multi millionaire would screw the country for millions in the eye of ( what was then) a deadly pandemic,?
I don't get this perceived wisdom that the first 80 mins were boring. I thought there was some great football from the Argentinians. Absorbing stuff. You did all that in the first very boring 80 minutes of the WC Final?
Respect
Well we didn’t want to be absorbed. We’re not soap suds. We wanted to be entertained. The first 80 minutes was like watching a one sided argument (see most Welsh Phil posts).I don't get this perceived wisdom that the first 80 mins were boring. I thought there was some great football from the Argentinians. Absorbing stuff.
Seems the Tory party was making moves to throw her under a bus - Sufficient time was given for her to decide to relocate Honduras. TotalCorruptFestThere is never enough for those obsessed with accumulation of wealth.
Yes not sure why she cannot be detained in the UK while this is investigated.Seems the Tory party was making moves to throw her under a bus - Sufficient time was given for her to decide to relocate Honduras. TotalCorruptFest
RwandaYes not sure why she cannot be detained in the UK while this is investigated.
She is holding a fire sale of UK based assets )which the government can confiscate) and seemingly planning a new life in Honduras which has no extradition treaty with the UK. She is doing it in plain site and should be stopped (assets frozen, passport confiscated) , where is the home secretary when you need her?
Exactly, Distracting a section of the population by talking about the bogey man of illegal immigration.Rwanda
As I pointed out a week ago, yet the Home Secretary is seemingly unaware.Yes not sure why she cannot be detained in the UK while this is investigated.

The bitch and her husband deserve to be strung up.Mone's corruption explained beautifully.
Time for COVID windfall taxes
The bitch and her husband deserve to be strung up.
This is a national outrage and must be investigated.
Utter scum, profiteering on a pandemic and the heartache suffered by millions.
Back to the PPE, if it was not fit for purpose, why not send it back and demand a full refund? These jokers aren't fit to runa corner shop, let alone the country.
Seething in FY5!!!!!
Spot on S2020. Plenty were involved in driving the hysteria which caused the usual checks and balances to be overlooked. Money wasn't an object at the time for so many.Very interesting that Lytham.
I wouldn't go as far to say that you supported the Government during the pandemic but I think it's fair to say that you were generally in favour of their lockdown policy.
Like your good self, I'm not one to say that I told you so, but I think it's fair to say that I spent more time questioning the Government's lockdown policy and their procurement procedures during the pandemic than all of the AVFTT lefties put together.
Round our way, they take material off us to recycle, making money out of it. Are these gowns not similar? The government says along with the £122m contract, it has so far spent £6.9m on storage costs for the kit and each week it costs over £61,000 to store the gowns. It estimates the cost to dispose the gowns would be £4.7m.
Why are they spending money storing useless equipment? I sincerely hope that whoever has that contract is not another government donor/crony. And why will it cost £4.7m to destroy it. I trust there will be complete transparency in the awarding of that contract.
To be fair, as someone leaning towards the left of centre, I was slagging off the fast track crony fest in 2020.Very interesting that Lytham.

Apologies for moving a little off topic folks but the only place for Mone - if investigations find her guilty of the accusations against her - is the jail.
I share the cynicism - should that be realism ? - of many others on the thread but I can't seeing it happening
I'm certainly not defending/support her but I'm sure that she wasn't working alone and I imagine she's far more likely to sing like a canary - or threaten to - than go down or her Jacks.

Masks don't work and make people look like toddlers doing dress up anyway. Hancock has said in his book, they were only brought in because Cummings liked the 'signal' that they sent out. They were only brought in for English school pupils because the govt were worried Sturgeon had stolen a march. Most 'measures' failed even on their own terms.
File under a money spunking, mass hysteria clusterfuck. Unless someone wants to draw me a graph proving otherwise?
And nurses want a pay rise? Stuff them, storing this stuff won't pay for itself. The government says along with the £122m contract, it has so far spent £6.9m on storage costs for the kit and each week it costs over £61,000 to store the gowns. It wasn’t just masks was it for kids, actual grown adults wanted our schools closed. Kids missing out on so much and they lapped it up.Spot on S2020. See Mac's post above. Ambulances on strike tomorrow (for one) yet he's still sucking himself off for being a mindless, pliant drone. Unless he was just after a rise, in which case, fair play.It wasn’t just masks was it for kids, actual grown adults wanted our schools closed. Kids missing out on so much and they lapped it up.
Embarrassing, but they’ll try and double down I’m sure.
Parents didn'tactual grown adults wanted our schools closed
And I’d happily store them in my shed for 50 quid a weekRound our way, they take material off us to recycle, making money out of it. Are these gowns not similar?
