MoM today

Mom went to Stewart, quite rightly in my opinion. He makes a difference alongside Dougall.
But everyone put a good shift in today, including James as you say.

Connolly was very good today, and deserves some recognition, which players rarely get when they simply do the basics and the uglier stuff very well.

I like these games where any one player could have been mom, it was a great disciplined performance. Swansea had 76% possession according to BBC stats, yet I felt relaxed watching that for 99% of the game.
 
James was better today than his last few games but still didn’t think he was great. Stewart and then Sterling for me.
 
James looks a bit lightweight, but thought he played well today. He reads the game well, and seems to be an intelligent player.
I would have given it to Stewart. Brilliant pass to set up Bowler’s miss just before half time, and he was a very solid barrier all game.
 
Thought Stewart was class today. Madine was in for a shout, thought he bullied their defenders all game till he went off
 
Stewart was good ( but should have had a shot), but Marv for me. I lost count of the number of times he threw his body in front of shots. A shout for Grimmy too - that save at the end was incredible.
 
Stewart is the one who brings the attack and defence together. Moves so well between the lines, gives and goes and plays incisive balls.

Him and Dougall are a top notch midfield partnership.

Shot that just missed post, rather than put his body in the way he move to the side rather than attack the ball
 
Difficult one today. Stewart immense, James solid, Madine did so much unselfish running and closing down. The work rate and effort from all the lads was superb today, hats off to them all.
A proper shift of graft.

Stewart for me. Thought James didnt have a
great game and can't believe so many people thought be was our best player! Really felt he was the weak link in the side.
 
I love Stewart and for me his and Dougall’s pairing in CM is the best we have but I thought James deserved the credit today. Not always been his biggest fan and he is definitely not a CM but he bossed the left side today.
