Mosr ridiculous red ive ever seen for Arsenal

yep, the sending off was a bad decision. It was the first guy taking or not taking the throw in that should have been booked for time wasting because he knew exactly what he was doing.

Unfortunately “professional” time wasting is and always has been part of the game and the biggest culprits are the goalkeepers who, ironically, get away with it most of the time. The main one being when they catch a ball, fall on the floor with it and spend about 30 seconds just looking round.
Petulance can be punished without the need for booking. A player commits a foul, picks the ball up and then runs about 5 yards or more with it before letting go. Then quite simply let the opposition take the free kick from where the ball has been dropped. A player walks 10 yards down the line from where a throw in should have been taken; instead of sending him back give the throw to the opposition. Bring in sin bins instead of a second yellow card but if a returning player commits another deliberate or unsavoury challenge then they go off.
You can argue that they then get too many chances but IMO they would soon learn to stop all the messing about

Yes I’m all for stopping this time wasting, diving & general dubious tactics. But I’d rather see a match finish with 11 v 11 so other punishments would be better in some case’s.

Felt sorry for the Arsenal player. Ridiculous.

Hopefully we can get a red card on Saturday and it will force Critchley to play 4 at the back.

actual bad premeditated challenges are often just ignored whilst petty infraction are punished to the extreme. the rule changes are very randomly applied the whole thing with extra time first game back 7, 8, 9 minutes, now its already back to the norms of previous seasons.

Pretty sure in same game ayew was booked then later grabbed saka when he was on a break and put him to the ground ,ref gave a free kick to the arse but no booking ,far worse than yakimoro,s on ayew yet nothing has been said about this clear booking offence
