As a massive Slade, I only found out yesterday that I have been singing along with some wrong lyrics 🤦‍♂️🤣🤛
Does he turn up on his slay should be Does a ton up on his slay
Is anyone else going to sing the correct words?

Heres a new vid with cuts from their TOTP's appearances.

well first it's sleigh not slay but yep you and me both although I'm ever so slightly different with me singing " does A turn upon his sleigh"

we live and learn.

oops, my bad and as they had an album named Slayed that must have been in my head when I put that as they mention it in verse 3.
[Verse 3]
Are you hanging up your stocking on your wall?
Are you hoping that the snow will start to fall?
Do you ride on down the hillside
In a buggy you have made?
When you land upon your head
Then you bin slayed

Noddy still makes fortunes in royalties every year for this classic.

I always thought Abba and Dancing Queen was “Dancing queen, feel the beat from the tangerine.” - rather than tambourine 🙃

Chrissy Hinde was very surprised that I though in Brass in Pocket she was going to use her sausage. Turns out it was sidestep.

I've always enjoyed listening out for a 'Mondegreen' (misheard lyrics).
There are many examples out there, but 2 of my 'go to' mondegreens are

1. Shania Twain - 'That Don't Impress Me Much', where she appears to sing ' I can't believe you kiss your C*ck at night'.
(Actual lyrics are 'I can't believe you kiss your car at night..!)

2. Gary Shearston - on his 1974 hit 'I get a Kick Out of You', appears to sing, right at the end of the song, (just before fade out...)
'Crispy Onion Rings and Chipsticks...'

Whereas it was a quick name check of his then girlfriend, 'Kristina Maria Konchevsky'

🤣🤘

My favorite 'misheard' lyric is by Steps and their song "One for Sorrow"....

The opening line is "I wanted your love but look what it's done to me"
I hear..."Please stop.......Oh god, Please make it stop"
