Do we know why?Jonty is no longer at the club.
We do seem to have quite a high turnover of off-field staff.

Dont know but he does seem to move clubs fairly frequently.Do we know why?

I think he was brought in as a stop-gap before Julian Winter came in, and once Julian has gotten his feet under the table, Jonty's role was significantly diminished. Don't know if he jumped or was pushed.Do we know why?

….. is also something I shared with Simon and the board at one of the structured dialogue meetings a year or so ago (maybe even longer as time seems to go so fast and I have been to a couple as well as the one regarding fan behaviour).
Anyway my view is that I would be happy for SS to ditch the main one on Garstang Road if we could manage with the community pitches as well as a private first team one next to the stadium similar to the one at Leeds behind their main stand.
The obvious benefit would be a massive reduction in capital expenditure by Simon out of his own pocket which could be redirected into the squad and ground but also at the ground there’s already facilities for feeding the players, a physiotherapist area, changing rooms, car parking, conference rooms etc etc that the players, coaches and manager could walk straight into.
The other benefit would be the proximity to the match day pitch which could be used for specialist training like set pieces.
Anyway, what will be will be and in the meantime there’s still Squires Gate and the sand dunes that were good enough for Stanley Matthews et al
He left his so called best mate with four games to go,now that doesn’t sound like a best mate to me.What about Brett Gerrity is he still on board watching the mighty.

That’s why the question was askedInflation falling doesn't mean costs go down. They are still increasing but at a slower rate.
I don’t know is my answer, never been involved in a project like this. Therefore I don’t know if four pitches will be enough or how much it would costWell I meant as inflation and the cost of living eases, relative prices should reduce. Also it could be in 5+ years it starts, as the east is now the priority and would be done first, we may be heading for recession and there are other factors leading to price reduction or relative price reduction. Some prices have fallen apparently and some pressures starting to ease.

As for the pitches it was simply saying MAYBE they can build it in stages, having 4 pitches grouped together is probably better for a unified setup than the seperate ones. I'm sure we could cope with the 4, the main pitch and the indoor one. The cost for flattening the ground, sorting 2 pitches (+ the other little areas next to it), drainage etc, landscaping those big areas would still cost and therfore would be a reduction to the overall cost if it was left out.
You tell me how much it would cost just to create those 2 pitches plus areas around, to the level they want, then minus that off the total.
This reminds me of the new stadium Oyscum bragged about at Wyndyke Farm, all we need now is a tiny balsa wood painted model showing us all how it will look when finished. For me, the training ground is a myth. Until it’s built I don’t believe it. Expecting a statement from the club before the end of the month about plans, costs etc, to cover up another poor window.
I take it you weren’t one of the fans who were suedAt the end of the day Sadler is just as full of shit as Karl and Owen were. I genuinely don't know who i would rather have in charge. We will never see either a new training ground or new east stand with this Charlatan running our club, false promises since the day he took over. But a lick of paint on the stadium has kept the masses happy.

The fan behaviour one was before the council were due to inspect the North stand against Wigan this seasonWhich fan behaviour are you on about Mosser was it at the dialogue meeting in March and who were the fans in reference to the incident at the fans dialogue meeting

I would be very surprised if Poolfoot ever came up for sale the way it’s been fundedA new training ground shows ambition and forward planning. That is important if we compete for a player. Fleetwood appear to be in a precarious position and I would love nothing more than Pool to have their training ground in Burn Naze.

For me personally I hope they’re tied in together at Bloomfield RoadBoth the development of Bloomfield Road and Training Ground are vital steps for the success of Blackpool FC. Both are also massive projects and aren't something that just suddenly happens. Hopefully planning is confirmed this year and then we can see some diggers on the ground. The sooner these idiots stop comparing SS with the Oystons, the better.
I'm not against that Mosser, but it would have to provide all the facilities that a modern training ground requires. We have one chance to get this right, so I'm comfortable with plans taking a little longer. For me personally I hope they’re tied in together at Bloomfield Road
Where is the evidence of any financial investment? Maybe you are the idiot. Both the development of Bloomfield Road and Training Ground are vital steps for the success of Blackpool FC. I mean, someone's paid for all the surveys and reports at the proposed TG site. Not a clue what it costs per each type of survey but I'd assume not exactly cheap.Where is the evidence of any financial investment? Maybe you are the idiot.

It's on the club's website, if you bother to look for it. £25.7m put in in the period prior to all this being discussed at a Structured Dialogue in March. It will be more by now.Where is the evidence of any financial investment? Maybe you are the idiot.
I don't see why an indoor Training facility has to have a full sized pitch! In fact I don't know why a full size grass pitch is needed as community facility? Who's going to use it, supervise and maintain it? The council have just opened a full size, floodlit artificial pitch a short distance away at Stanley Park.I mean, someone's paid for all the surveys and reports at the proposed TG site. My understanding is it'll probably cost even more as traffic concerns hint at having to move the entrance. Probably means plan need redoing again, more surveys etc..
Temp upgrades made at SG in the meantime.
I'm not sure it's possible, if you mean having the TG incorporated into the East Stand project, especially now that it's part funded by central government funds (if I understand correctly)
Area is too busy, not enough room for indoor/outdoor facilities, if you think that indoor pitch is full sized.
You also drastically reduce the hours in which those pitches could be used by the community during the day.

The community facility will be run by the BFC Community Trust - a full size pitch will allow them to host proper matches - that means adult 11 a side games - so potentially opening up the ability to host local teams (I believe the women and youth teams will likely benefit from playing actual matches here) It being a full size grass pitch will be incredibly easy to maintain… given there’s a team of experts with all the necessary equipment based approximately 50ft away who maintain the full size grass pitch inside the stadium. If anything having to maintain an additional artificial pitch would require additional materials and equipment the additional grass pitch would not.I don't see why an indoor Training facility has to have a full sized pitch! If it is aimed at youth football then a more cost-effective solution is for smaller pitches for short sided games. The pampered kids of today will be off at the first sign of bad weather so I would argue that an indoor multi-purpose, multi-sport building is of more benefit to the community than a full size grass pitch.
Blackpool FC need an East Stand to complete the stadium if the club is to progress. That has to be the No.1 priority. The Council should be supporting this and if an indoor facility plus outdoor pitches can be incorporated to generate income and benefit the local community then everyone is a winner. Squires Gate is fit for purpose at this time, if the club progress as planned and become an established Championship side then the more ambitious full-scale complex at Garstang Road can be revisited.
Have you been to Bloomfield Road recently? A look around the place shows you the maintenance work that has been undertaken. That green rectangle the players run about on is no longer brown! Pop down to Squires Gate and look at the new modular changing, gym and physio rooms. If you think there hasn't been investment, you sir are a buffoon!Where is the evidence of any financial investment? Maybe you are the idiot.
At present the chances of getting back to the Prem or even holding onto Championship football are highly unlikely. With a proper training facility alongside an academy the club becomes significantly more attractive. Its a long term plan to give the club every opportunity to move forward in the future. Blackpool is the perfect place to attract young talent from all over Lancashire, Manchester and Liverpool... this really needs to happen. We’re not a top club, we’re league one at the moment and probably have to cut our cloth accordingly. Maybe if we do get back in the Prem and a lot more money becomes available then the other training ground could be revisited?
