All very sinister.

We know the legal system benefits the rich, that not really the point here. And the flip side is rich and powerful people using the defamation laws to stifle any criticism of them.
A Blackpool fan shouldn’t really need to be reminded about the dangers of that.
Or because Farage works for them so they'll give a completely unbiased view?
Before people ask why gb news and why talk TV, you barely get fair discussion about this in the left leaning media, because they are probably happy about it.
I didn't know he worked for talk TV? The gb news one was to highlight the other examples of when things like this have happened.Or because Farage works for them so they'll give a completely unbiased view?
Like Pilley. He'll take anyone's money from a post officeNige will be able to open a Post Office account. They will take anyone's money.
I've consistently gone against the Governments narrative and they haven't closed my accountI didn't know he worked for talk TV? The gb news one was to highlight the other examples of when things like this have happened.
As said when people go against a government narrative for eg, the tools the state or corporations can and will use is becoming increasingly concerning.
You're just too small-time... or were you....I've consistently gone against the Governments narrative and they haven't closed my account
Sometimes the narrative isn't helped by pejorative language used. Words like shady, secret groups just make the majority of the public laugh at wacko conspiracy theorists, whether they are or not. You're just too small-time... or were you....
If you and spoke out against some of the mad covid measures, the government may have had you monitored by that shady army unit...

Government tried to 'cover-up' secret Army units that were sent to spy on Covid questioners - London Post
THE Government tried to ‘cover-up’ secret Army units that were sent to spy on those questioning Covid policies, a campaigner has claimed. Silkie Carlo from Big Brother Watch was speaking in the wake of an investigation that alleged secretive Whitehall units have been monitoring government...london-post.co.uk
I'd say spying on people who were questioning very shaky government policy is very shady.Sometimes the narrative isn't helped by pejorative language used. Words like shady, secret groups just make the majority of the public laugh at wacko conspiracy theorists, whether they are or not.
I don't doubt that if that were the case, it would be a real problem.I'd say spying on people who were questioning very shaky government policy is very shady.
Especially when later many of those people were hit with some sort of ban from social media or had accounts closed.
Let's face it, they weren't gathering the info for a laugh.
From the article...
“These units, it has to be said, have a special relationship with big tech so they can flag information to the companies that they think should be suppressed or censored.”
Putting all that I've mentioned in this thread together, surely people can see how it can be very dangerous if you find yourself on the wrong side of the powers that be.
Quite possibleI wonder if 'they' have reversed Pete's mind in order to mislead and confuse?
All very sinister.
If the government or corporations have done this before, which they have, they they can and will do it again.I don't doubt that if that were the case, it would be a real problem.
I can't reconcile that with Nigel Farage who is never off any form of media, saying his piece and constantly playing the victim of faceless characters, yet back the following day pushing his own agenda.
This man has most appearances ever on Question Time, probably more than Fiona Bruce, yet claims he's being silenced.
I don't believe him.
And this is the problem. There seems to be a new conspiracy theory every week. The latest are “woke teachers encourage kids to identify as cats” and now “Remainer Banks close down accounts of Brexiters”.Sometimes the narrative isn't helped by pejorative language used. Words like shady, secret groups just make the majority of the public laugh at wacko conspiracy theorists, whether they are or not.
I think it's a great conspiracy theory that Nigel Farage would be stupid enough to accept a payment/ bribe payment into his own public bank account. There’s zero evidence of banks collectively taking against an individual.
While no one outside the bank, including Farage, knows what’s actually happened I’ve told you the most likely scenario.
It was alleged in the House of Commons that Farage had accepted money from the Kremlin via Russia Today.
If a bank, lawyer, accountant has a suspicion (they don’t need to know it) they commit a criminal offence if they don’t report the suspicion to the National Crime Agency. When you report you can also ask for consent to carry on as normal. If consent is refused then you can’t.
You also can’t tell the customer that you’ve reported them to the NCA. That would be tipping off and also a criminal offence.
So what I suspect has happened is the bank has submitted a suspicious activity report to the NCA off the back of the comments in the HoC and have been refused consent.
So they have to close the account. But can’t tell Farage the reason why.
The idea that bankers have got together and decided to freeze Farage out is nonsensical.
But it’s a great conspiracy theory I agree.
What part of high profile doesn't apply to Farage? Arguably, those in power think on the same lines as he does. Suella has lifted his playbook completely.I think it's a great conspiracy theory that Nigel Farage would be stupid enough to accept a payment/ bribe payment into his own public bank account.
Then again it has only been (alleged).
Now you can see why they abolished hanging.
Nigel Farage tends to ruffell a lot of feathers for some high profile people.
I remember during the Brexit saga, his picture was on the front page of every newspaper with a pint of beer in his hand. Oh dear the main man in the Brexit debate likes a drink. If the government or corporations have done this before, which they have, they they can and will do it again.
Question times top 10 people with most appearances were remainers plus...

As for NF, let's see what comes out. If there no evidence, then it's all looking a bit dodgy.
The accusation is that he took over half a million from the Kremlin.I'm not a fan - voted remain - but what's this guy's actual crime?
Nothing solid then? The accusation is that he took over half a million from the Kremlin.
It’s well known that Farage has appeared on Russia Today. And that Russia Today is Putin’s voice. That can be verified with a quick Google search.Nothing solid then?
He's got an opinion which I don't agree with. Can appear on RT if he likes. Can also receive cash from anyone, it's no different to sportsmen selling toothpaste. What is the actual crime here? It’s well known that Farage has appeared on Russia Today. And that Russia Today is Putin’s voice. That can be verified with a quick Google search.
And it’s well known that he’s been paid for his appearances. He’s confirmed that.
The questions are - how much has he been paid? And when were the most recent payments? And shouldn’t he be added to the sanctions list after the invasion of Ukraine. That last question was what was behind Bryant’s statement in the HoC.
It’d also be interesting to see how laid back people would be if the discussion was about Corbyn accepting Russian Gold.
The U.K. is supplying arms and other support to Ukraine. In effect it (and other Western countries) is currently fighting a proxy war against Russia. Many Russian oligarchs and Putin supporters have been placed on sanctions lists as a result. He's got an opinion which I don't agree with. Can appear on RT if he likes. Bryant was asking why Farage hasn’t been included bearing in mind his past supportive comments re Putin on RT plus the fact he’s been paid money in the past (Farage accepts he’s been paid for appearances although he denies the £500k figure).
Fair question imo.
There doesn't have to be a proven crime for him to fall foul of money laundering regulations (the reason that many think his account has been withdrawn). There has to be a reasonable suspicion for action which (if the money laundering speculation is correct) there must be . The bank has no choice in the matter - if they don't shut the account in these circumstances then they are breaking the law. It is not a choice for the bank, they have to comply. No crime then.
It appears discriminate. There doesn't have to be a proven crime for him to fall foul of money laundering regulations (the reason that many think his account has been withdrawn). It seems like Nigel's play of victimhood is winning over many people. There is no equivalence between Nigel's situation and the outspoken vicar and YBS for instance. This is not about free speech, but about complying with banking laws that are in place for very good reason.
We don't know what, if any, the grounds for the closure or suspicion of wrong doing are, so we (the public) cannot have an informed opinion on this. Banks make money out of rich people like Farage, they do not close accounts because the don't like or agree with the person involved. It appears discriminate.
It was in the House of Commons. Of course its true.I’ve watched various news channels over the weekend and I’m currently watching the 9am BBC news still nothing on Farage.
Guess we’ll dismiss it as it’s simply not true just surprised so many people took it all in like a toilet but then again it is shite posted about Farage so what’s new?
Another story for the fake news bin.
Is that the same House of Commons where Boris lied through his teeth? It was in the House of Commons. Of course its true.
True to the extent that the accusation was made.Is that the same House of Commons where Boris lied through his teeth?
But like I said not ONE news channel has taken the accusation/story up.True to the extent that the accusation was made.
So why is he whinging about being driven out?But like I said not ONE news channel has taken the accusation/story up.
You seem to have forgotten it was Farage himself who broke the news about his account being closed and speculated that (amongst other things) it was because of what Bryant had said in my the HoC. So that’s obviously not fake news. But like I said not ONE news channel has taken the accusation/story up.
You would think at the very least the Woke BBC would have surely?
BBC apparently informed that Coutts Bank saying that Farage didnt have sufficient funds in his acct to keep an account with them ( rich persons bank ! )
And on BBC, so fake news well and truly quashedReality isn't quite as sexy as some sort of Deep State conspiracy.
Nigel Farage bank account shut for falling below wealth limit, source tells BBC
Nigel Farage's account with the bank Coutts is not being closed for political reasons, the BBC is told.www.bbc.co.uk
Given the number of dots I'll have a go at: third, chant. So had been offered a Nat West acct even before his moaning and turned it down.
What a t...d , c..nt ... fill in the rest.
He has since been denied by 8 other banks. They have done it to the bad man and a building society even did it to a vicar. It’s dangerous ground when banks get involved in politics. Whether you are a fan of Nigel‘s or not, this needs examining.

He does not seem to be very popular on here. I have a team personally and found a very straightforward decent guy. I just wish you get back in to politics.Nat West offered him an account and he turned it down. Classic playing the victim.
Your eagerness to accept these stories from proven liars and grifters needs examining. He has since been denied by 8 other banks. He is a man of the cloth so whatever he said would surely have been appropriate. We need to boycott woke banks, building societies, and companies. Bud Light have been taught a lesson and long May it continue. This is still a Christian country and whilst the archbishop has gone woke we still need to follow the bible.Your eagerness to accept these stories from proven liars and grifters needs examining.
Show me the evidence for 8 other banks.
The vicar refused to publish exactly what he sent to the building society, who as a private company have right to deny service to a customer who breaches their policies.
Out of interest, the Christians refusing service to same sex couples in Ireland and the US...I presume you're equally worried? I must have missed that thread.
Beyond parody. When has a man of the cloth ever been dishonest? Fair enough. He is a man of the cloth so whatever he said would surely have been appropriate. Your a proper little keyboard warrior palBeyond parody. When has a man of the cloth ever been dishonest? Fair enough.
Follow all the bible? Same book that tells slaves to obey their masters, not eat prawns and to stone homosexuals yeah?
Take care pal. Try not to be so angry and scared.
