PLF is closer to Bloomfield.Oh and back to the OP, living in PLF I’m pretty much equidistant to Bloomers, Codwood and Wesham Fc grounds
Jimmy Persey? My mate played for them when they knocked Cloughie’s Brighton out of the FA cup. He scored the winner.
Russ Perkins ( Sorry CAGU).Jimmy Persey?
Me tooIt used to Palace then Crawley came along and now it is Sutton.
My local team Basingstoke were in an epic title battle with Walton and Hersham for their level 8 championship in the last few months Think Wrexham and Notts County but with lower standards. Similar setup in that only 1 goes up automatically. My mate played for them when they knocked Cloughie’s Brighton out of the FA cup. He scored the winner.
He is from where I live. His brother plays for my local club that I now follow.Treaty United
Which is the pheonix club of Limerick FC
Our Wembley goalscorer Robbie Williams is captain
Sarf Landan?Millwall.
Too right my saaan.Sarf Landan?
Oh and sadly Reading as the nearest football league teamMy local team Basingstoke were in an epic title battle with Walton and Hersham for their level 8 championship in the last few months Think Wrexham and Notts County but with lower standards. Similar setup in that only 1 goes up automatically.
On the last day W and H needed to win to be promoted. They led 2-1 into the 90th minute at Thatcham and then conceded the equaliser and the title to Basingstoke. Hopefully Walton will also be promoted (they won their semi final last night) as they finished miles ahead of everyone else.
Stoke City.Since there are many Blackpool exiles on this messageboard I thought it would be interesting to hear which professional club you now live closest to.
I'll start with Ipswich Town.
Sevilla Malaga and Granada I live in the middle of all three.
You must either live in Fairfield, Marsh or by the river.Lancaster City are about a 5 minute walk away or it’s Morecambe or possibly Fleetwood as the crow flies for professional teams.
Oh, not sure, I’ve not heard owt, will make enquiriesSorry, I was saying, he has the scarf, banner etc in the barber's shop. He told me that Parana Club has basically folded. Is that right?
Was in Santos the other day, went to check out the ground, looked ace from the outside, I need to get to more away games but as you well know it’s a big old gaff to get round…Never got down there when I lived in Brazil. Santos was my local club.
Very true! Got a real soft spot for Santos, place and club. Re: Coritiba, the guy who cut my hair here at the Barber's the other day is a huge fan of theirs. He's got the scarf, banners, the lot in the barber's shop! Was in Santos the other day, went to check out the ground, looked ace from the outside, I need to get to more away games but as you well know it’s a big old gaff to get round…
Good stuff! Yes, get in touch!Oh, not sure, I’ve not heard owt, will make enquiries
What I can tell you is the Coxia Brancas have made a terrible start to the season 3-0 loss away at Flamengo and 0-3 at home to Fortaleza
Back in Portugal in August so if I get up north I’ll hit you up
What was Santos like? The Coritiba Imperio are superb, I’ve never seen anything like it, drummers who can actually drum and perhaps 7,000 of these ultras they don’t shut up all game no matter what’s happening on the pitch, the curva as it’s known is so loud it truly is emotional being there, I love it.Very true! yes Fess, was playing guitar with him tonight!Russ Perkins ( Sorry CAGU).
Santos, well, loads of passion, as you'd expect. It's also a very small ground, around 18 000 capacity so just a bit bigger than BR, so that adds to it all. What was Santos like? Just over 16k capacity at Vila Belmiro, Santos, so about the same as BR.What was Santos like? yep, what a cock up. And the bloke who scored a hat-trick in four consecutive games a few weeks ago missed a real sitter to make it 1-3 and seal the game and promotion. But as you say, hopefully on Sunday. My local team Basingstoke were in an epic title battle with Walton and Hersham for their level 8 championship in the last few months Think Wrexham and Notts County but with lower standards. Blackpool 5.7PLF is closer to Bloomfield.
Not too far from me then. Nearest club is Mazarron (5th tier) and nearest "big" club is FC Cartagena (Segunda - La Liga 2)Vera (nearest La Liga club is Almeria 45 min ).
