New Users ! (FAO ADMIN)

We’ve had an influx of new users who have been deliberate trouble makers and we’ve seen from their IP’s that they have got history of this. Sadly it means we won’t be processing new members.

Remedies
(i) lets have them & all new usernames listed on a "sticky ", "welcome new user" Thread where admin announces their arrival whilst reminding them of AVFTT T&Cs .

(ii) Don't bite & respond meaning thread will soon do a Torquay & be relegated out of site .

Just make everyone reregister but with transparency ie photo name all verified. It should make things a bit more civil if you actually know who you’re speaking to or slagging off. Stop the keyboard warriors dead in their tracks.

I've been posting on avftt for over 15 years and I've never hid behind a user name

I can probably count on one hand the amount of times someone has took offence and approached me in the real world

And one of those was Lee Charles

Under every username it says “Well Known Member”

How difficult would it be to change that to “New User” for a new member

It would stop the Nobbers and windup merchants

All this talk of using real names and photographs. It's a small football website. It's just something to pass a bit of time. It's not work.

The vast majority of our posters are adult enough to use the website well within it's owners terms and conditions and have no issues.
