Brian Adams has been harping on about the summer of 69 for years.
36 at 1pm. Previous highest was 33.7 I thinkTemperatures should have peaked around about now in Blackpool. Will lose a degree an hour or so as the day goes on Settling at a nice 19 degrees tomorrow.

Not sure we need Blackpool airport to be reopened to commercial international holiday flights.35 recorded at Blackpool Airport at noon today. Think that's a record for here
It is the main reason we relocated from the Dordogne to Ireland, Dave. Mrs Kerry in particular could no longer cope with the summer temperatures, and that was with aircon throughout the house. When we lived in France 2005/2010. in The Charente, next to The Dordogne, 40C was not uncommon.
I wonder how it will be in the future?
MrsDP has just been on the phone to out friends in The Dordogne. It's currently 33C there.
Too bloody hot or me.
Not sure what all these high temps mean for the pre-Christmas supply of quality street tubs to non-air conditioned shops. As we know, these tubs are delivered in huge quantities in early September. I am very concerned that they’ll need to be delayed until November so they aren’t melting on delivery. Please make contingency plans so you can get plentiful supply of alternative heart clogging junk food so that you can all continue to spiral towards early death, dragging the nhs down with you along the way.
Blimey I’d never have guessed that there was mayonnaise in Quality Street !
That aged wellWow. Northern Ireland hasn’t nor has England. Nor has Scotland.
On sky news they dramatically announced that Northern Ireland had its ‘hottest day of the year’. Well we are in July. News flash - every year Northern Ireland has a hottest day of the year.
