I predict the government will back down as the science just isn't strong enough.

The vaccines don't stop transmission so forcing people or losing their jobs is daft and was always going to be challenged.

The government know the jab doesn't stop it so I suspect will u turn or kick the issue into the long grass to save face.

I suspect we will see many of these type of legal challenges, like against companies who are discriminating with sick pay against unjabbed, when the jab doesn't stop transmission.
 
The malingerers in the NHS will be happy with this news. Could BFC x 3 quote the statistics for actual covid days off against pulling your leg covid days off.

Oh and one more little irony, Dr Steve James will have had a Hep B jab or wouldn't be allowed on wards or in theatre, Hep B isn't a political football for dog whistlers like Farage to grab on to though.

Bollocks and a ** stupid thing to say.

As NHS staff you have a whole host of measures to adhere to for patient safety, the doctor here will have kept his registration up, his mandatory training, his necessary vaccinations, a whole host of legal rules and procedures, you don't get to decide on a whim that you don't want to follow policy and still keep your role, that's not how it works, it's not a democracy and never should be.

I haven't been front line for a decade and have worked from home for two years but still have to follow a raft of training, policy etc..

The science is sound, the reasoning is sound, the risk is virtually non existent, the other argument just isn't sound at all and regardless, it doesn't matter what an individual thinks, tough shit, get on with it, you're not the important factor here.

Whatever you or I think, a lot of NHS employees have been treated poorly, employees that have worked on wards during the first wave when every fucker was at home and it was biohazard central. If those individuals are under even the slightest amount is stress them I'm behind them. Shame you aren't but I am indifferent either way.

Again, bollocks, what has employee stress got to do with being vaccinated when you're already Hep B vaccinated and have to comply with all existing policy?

Are you suggesting staff should pick and choose which policy they follow?

Covid vaccination isn't the reason the service is fucked and staff are beyond stressed, 30+ years of political policy is.

But the point is about a government over reacting and a jab that doesn't do what it's meant to to stop the spread. If it did the science would be stronger.

You can't mandate something that doesn't work.

If I was going into hospital for an operation will I be able to insist that all doctors and nursing staff who attend me have been vaccinated? I’m sure someone will demand this and then take it to court if their request isn’t met.

Well they have been doing for nearly the last two years and will continue to April and whenthe virus has been a lot stronger and no one bothered.

It doesn't stop transmission, any reduction is small and fleeting.

Were not going to jab them 4 times a year, nor do we know if that's healthy to be on high antibody alert constantly.

Dr Hillary is hardly a good person to listen to, he was caught lying about the numbers of unjabbed in hospitals....

Have you read the posts I made, I said it doesn't stop transmission, thats a fact.

The fact it provides very small temporary reduction is not enough to mandate jabs.

Theres not much point continuing if you won't listen to actual facts and instead purposefully misrepresent whats being said.

So let's picture the scene....

Thousands of doctors are sacked for not having the jab.

Meanwhile thousands of other nhs workers continue to catch and spread covid, albeit at a slightly reduced rate.

This only for a few weeks before antibodies return to lower levels and then despite being jabbed they are similar to unjabbed.

"Last week, European Union regulators warned that frequent Covid-19 booster shots could weaken the immune system and may not be feasible. "

Its not even feasible or safe to keep injecting people to keep the antibodies up.

So basically we've got rid of thousand of much needed nhs workers for little to no gain, especially after their jab wears off in a matter of weeks.

I know many boosted people, as I'm sure we all do who have caught it and will have passed it on, so all this is ridiculous.

So again, it does not stop transmission and isn't good enough to sack people over not having it.
 
What will all the paranoid people say when hospitals literally have to start saying no to emergency care and operations due to sacking doctors and nurses. Ridiculous, get on with it ffs.

In fairness, Hilary Jones is hardly an authority, he'll basically just say any old shyte to justify himself... Of course Steve James is also just making shit up on the hoof as well, so in reality the two of them discussing this is not really much more beneficial than two of our 'in house' AVFTT experts discussing it really...

What we need is some proper expert brains on the subject....

My Suggestion would be maybe Chris Whitty debating Piers Corbyn👍

Anyway, my New Years resolution of trying to convince people of reality even though they'll never change their minds isn't going well. I must remember to not bother as there's much better uses of my working day, like films, or books, or possibly a wank.

Well basically a) He’s a wanker (Hilary Jones) and b) He’s basically just trotting out Ill researched bollocks, based on assumption.

Nobody has conducted any properly controlled research into the long term or even medium term impact of vaccines on omicron and impact on viral load, transmissibility, when compared to those with naturally gained antibodies.

The hep B jab protects him against an illness which is life threatening.
Covid does not present anything near the same risk as hep B for a healthy younger person.
So using hep B as comparison is utterly flawed logic.
 
Good for them. Hope they take the NHS for everything they’ve got! You can not force people to take a government poison which is still officially a trial till 2025. I hope other people in this position also sue their employers, it’s happening in America.
This won’t be the end of it either. Any business refusing services to the unvaccinated will eventually face lawsuits, especially now, as the China virus is about to be downgraded to “flu like virus” status. Hope those businesses are put out of business!

Any links to US lawsuits? Saw one about 10 states suing Biden or something and also the UD Supreme Court blocked mandatory jabs for all.

There will definitely be a lot or lawsuits, like first like IKEA who are treating unjabbed differently despite both jabbed and unjabbed being able to catch it.

It was never going to end well in a world apparently against Discrimination.
