... unlike when we screwed up against Northampton, no one really losing to these lower teams above us.
Wheels have come off a bit at Oxford but still 8th and lots of teams above us with games in hand.

I think the difference in quality between the top 8 and bottom 8 teams is massive and as a result the top teams aren't dropping many points. It wouldn't surprise me if 80-85 points needed for play offs this year which would require us to go on a really good run between now and the end of the season just to make the play-offs.

First half of the season, get points on the board. If we have a strong top 10 finish to the first half, we'll be well primed for the second.

Next weekend not looking that great either - no one have anyone decent and may as well add 3 points to Posh now as they’re at the Cods!

Yes JYS and I can’t see much changing before the new year Itl be when we play the top 6 the crunch will come, till then we just need to plough on winning

If we can stay in touch with the top 6 (3-6 points off) come March we have a decent chance

We really have been a one step forward, two steps back team of late.
Have a look at the current form table - 8th over both 6 and 10 games - we are consistent if nothing else!

We will make the play offs I am sure, still think we might trouble the automatic places.

Big few weeks coming up - sadly for us it might be a game too many but highlights include

Barnsley v Stevenage
Portsmouth v Stevenage
Peterborough v Barnsley
Derby v Peterborough
Oxford v Derby

.. and Wigan who are in form face Barnsley and Derby ...

I expect all the top teams to win this Saturday so we need to win to stand still .Stevenage are top of the form table and have thrown a fly in the ointment so far .

Saturday is a good test to prove Portsmouth wasn't a one off and we can be decent away from home. A similar lacklustre performance after a good win won't be acceptable.
