Is what it is to be honest. I don't really care. I've been to Deepdale a few times, nothing special about it really. Not in the top 30 stadiums maybe even down from that in the English leagues for atmosphere so we won't be missing out on much.

Just a note from a Rovers fan . Let’s face it Rovers , PNE , Burnley and Blackpool are more or less similar sized clubs , with roughly the same core of fans , give or take a 1,000 or so .

The Rovers are the most recent to have climbed the heights due to Uncle Jack putting in big money to his local club ( nothing wrong with that ) . Granted ‘ some ‘ Rovers fans think we’re a big club , we aren’t . We do have or had some fans from Preston ( I think a Rovers coach used to pick up on New Hall Lane in the 1990s ) who jumped on the 90s bandwagon but successful clubs tend to get that . Understandably that winds up PNE fans no end .

As far as trophies are concerned 3 League Championships, 6 FA Cups , 1 League Cup ( and a Charity Shield ) mean we’re probably England’s most successful town club . I don’t think that can be denied .

However truth has to be told . My son and a few of his mates went to watch Rovers at Blackpool earlier in the season and they said to a man , the atmosphere created by the home fans was amazing , the best they’d heard on their travels over quite a few years, including Burnley and Preston . I admit that at Rovers home games ( I don’t go away ) the atmosphere is pretty dire, 14,000 fans in a 32,000 stadium doesn’t help , but I’ve heard the same from Preston and Burnley fans about their own home support too .

What PNE are number 1 for......Sleepdale has the highest number of unsold seats in the Championship....with 52.3% unsold every game...

Yes you have some of the big games to come up but up until now you've also had a fiver game (Derby) for the owner 18k, a Reading deal for 15 was it that gor extra numbers through the door. Youve had a 2 for 3 I think offer.

We've had no deals and a higher price for the big games. Fact.

You've also changed manager mid season and had a lift from that.

Without those bumper gates you wouldn't be ahead so far.

Obviously when your bigger games happen without the above you'd probably be ahead due to the fact of having the bigger stadium and not being limited, able to attract more with deals.

So I wouldn't get too excited as we're limited and still close.

We also missed the usual promotion boost with fans at the playoff and Wembley game, only 4k allowed at each, usually over 30k to Wembley and gets people attending the following season. Covid made that even more difficult. People get into a habit and seeing the team win at Wembley in person for masses helps, sadly missed.

We've been through a lot more than you so will continue to grow, were still only been run properly for a few years now, takes time to win generations of fans back or build them.

Look at the progress already in a few years, imagine in another few years.

Your fanbase on PNE-O has consistently misrepresented our struggles through the boycott years and wilfully ignored the principles that Blackpool fans were fighting for - whilst fans of other clubs were lauding us for it and trying to support us in any way they could. So lectures about facts really shouldn't come from you.

I have to hand it to you though. Giro has spent the best part of two decades trying to present an image of PNE fans as moderate, reasonable and personable folk. And you have completely undermined him in less than a week. For his sake, if for nobody else's, why don't you fuck off?

Really think we should ban nobbers from coming on here. Most of the time they just abuse our fans, and they can't handle any kind of banter at all on their forum, or even pool fans just wanting to have a reasonable discussion.

I used to go to Blackpool with a friend & his. Dad in the late 60s .
Never had a issue with Blackpool fans but sorry your fan base tell lies .
Sorry but they need to be put right .
Blackpool fans especially the elderly seem to have a real hatred for pne .
I for one want all Lancashire clubs to do well & I was really pleased when u won promotion last season .
But some of the rubbish put on here is just not true . We are all similar sized clubs .
