To be honest, in a season where Sadler got absolutely every decision wrong, he absolutely has to give the job to Dobbie !
I've listed it to you before remember? You haven’t listed anything. You even said he tore League One up, which he didn’t and ended up not being in the squad and being miles behind Keshi and Embleton in the pecking order.
Jerry won't drop to L1 at this stage of his career unless he's no options at a higher level. But he will have.Give it Dobbie and get him a good number 2.Rogers back on loan Jerry for another season and I’d be confident of promotion.
The good thing about this win is it helps building positive momentum, rightly or wrongly some took Mansford going as positive.I know we stayed up comfortably last season, but the end of season game couldn't have been more different this season than the one at Peterborough last season. A really professional job today when our players could've been on their holidays (especially as many of them are loanees), along with some youngsters given some experience.
It really would be a brave decision now by Simon to ignore Dobbie. In fact, I'd say it's an absolute no brainer - shown a lot of promise with, let's not forget, a squad still decimated by injuries. To go to Norwich and win without Yates and Keshi is excellent and it would be a hugely popular appointment I think. If he wants to get the fans back onside and create a buzz for next season....
hes been weak all season.Worst performance of the season by Carey.
Brilliant performance. Dobbie has to be the guy.
Evens nowAs Dobbs has drifted out to 12/1, it’s worth a punt
Last 2 aways 6 pointsTell you what
Professional performance and we've won away with a clean sheet.
Nice to go down with a bit of pride if nothing else.
And every credit to our fans who travelled today.
See you in August.
Fans celebrating at Deepdale at getting into the playoffs.
Unfortunately for the Nobbers the team wear Red
Since he’s been appointed the progress has been clear in every game, even when we’ve lost. If he doesn’t get the job there’s every chance he’s caught the eye of other clubs and we might lose him altogether.fair play to him, he literally couldn’t have done anymore with this squad
Positivityhas somebody hacked your accountApter and Lankshear (sp) impressive cameos.
Apter just needs to change that attitude from inside info I believe he stomps around when doesn’t get minutes a lot of growing up to do had a good 10 mins todayPositivityhas somebody hacked your account
west brom two mistakes cost us, millwall the same, both games we were at least as good if not the better team. Luton have been one of the form teams but even though they beat us well we looked significantly better that game than we had for a whileStephen Dobbie. - 6 games, 3 wins, 3 losses, 9 points. Also won our last 2 away games given we hadn’t won away since October. Give him the job. Make it make sense
Well done Dobbie and the boys today.
Ps is it me or was that subtle shithousery from Preston today… hammered at home by Sunderland at the expense of a rovers play off place
And Dobbs has still had the same injury problems as the other well experienced managers, in other words he’s managed extremely well with the limited players he’s had available and that tells a story in it’s own right!i have to say that was one of our best performances of the season, we looked dangerous going forward, solid defensively, and the team played as a team. a pretty much treadbare squad.
you just have to wonder if that level of organisation had been in play from the outset.
simply organised the team, played players in positions they were relatively comfortable in. got them to work together. If we were in the champs next year i would say possibly a different head coach, but insist on Dobbie being part of the coaching team so there is continuity, but in league 1 i think hes perfect for the jobAnd Dobbs has still had the same injury problems as the other well experienced managers, in other words he’s managed extremely well with the limited players he’s had available and that tells a story in it’s own right!
550ish counting from where I was sittingHow many Pool today?
He has also had Jerry out for half his games. And Dobbs has still had the same injury problems as the other well experienced managers, in other words he’s managed extremely well with the limited players he’s had available and that tells a story in it’s own right!
Very true bollie and he’s not been afraid of bringing the youngsters into the 1st team squad eitherHe has also had Jerry out for half his games.
I don't have a problem with that it shows he's confident in his ability and desperately wants to play. He looked very good with the ball at his feet and not overawed by the opposition. A shame he didn't tuck that chance away when he ran with the ball from inside his own half. This pre-season is make or break for him he really needs to establish himself in the first team and get his career on track.Apter just needs to change that attitude from inside info I believe he stomps around when doesn’t get minutes a lot of growing up to do had a good 10 mins today
Chatting to some Norwich fans on the train back to north Norfolk and they reckon about 750-800. Also said we were very noisy & impressed with Bowler & Rogers. They are not happy with their Board & fear getting humped next season by the Tractor Boys. How many Pool today?
The loanees were exceptional today. Bowler had his best game since he rejoined us and Fiorini, Patino and Rodgers were class. Shout out to Nelson and Thorniley who have been solid whenever called upon. Really hope Dobbie gets the manager’s job next season – he seems to be a very good fit!I know we stayed up comfortably last season, but the end of season game couldn't have been more different this season than the one at Peterborough last season.
