Notice there’s only 1 line of stewards between

Both sets of fans in supposedly one of the biggest rivalries in British football arsenal spurs in a crowd of over 60 thousand. Meanwhile at the Pool on the rare occasion we have a big game with a potential 15k plus attendance we have to leave whole blocks empty. Why the difference

Because we have fans that like to moan about having home advantage and not letting certain teams have a full allocation.
We also have wannabe hooligans that like throwing things at away fans.

Stewards that can't steward properly.
Police that can't police properly.
Supporters that can't behave properly.
A stadium that doesn't function properly.

I would say number 3 is the one and only reason Wizzer.
If there were no dick headed behaviour then everyone could watch the match in peace

The others were all outside on the streets protecting Mother Brown.

How does the stadium not function properly? I've been to hundreds of games in it and never had a problem personally.

Watching the rugby World Cup and it’s a world of difference, fans mingling, drinking alcohol in the stands, fantastic atmosphere, no trouble. Why can’t football be like that.
Agree. Unfortunately thugs use football clubs as a vessel to do what hard of thinking thugs do.

Oh and Rugby is too complex for them. And pretending to be rock hard in the stands whilst rugby players are being harder than they cold ever be on the pitch would make them look ridiculous.

When you leave the stadium.
It's like doing a level of the crystal maze
It's really not that hard. Just find an exit and walk out down the road of your choice. I must have done this hundreds if not thousands of times and never once did I ever fail to find my car. If you are having difficulties, the key is to follow the crowd. Only go so far though or else you'll end up in someone else's car.

It’s a very different game - football is tribal, passionate and is much more than the sum of its parts.
It’s what makes football unique.
Ok - it crosses lines but would you really sooner have pleasantville ?

Unless you can't go down a certain road that has been cut off by the police.
I'm happy for you that you've had no problems.

Proper facilities are the difference. It may only look like "1 line of stewards" but that's the tip of the iceberg. Most other stadiums have segregated facilities/ emergency exits/ turnstiles where our East stand doesn't. It was designed for temporary use and it shows, its not fit for purpose. Hence the reason for needing blocks of empty seats either side for segregation.

He should count his lucky stars he doesn’t play for Livingstone. I thought of him as I glanced at the 3 sides of their stadium filled with Celtic supporters yesterday!

Should we be pandering to players or doing what’s best for the club?

Build the atmosphere for me!
Derby the next team to be restricted to 2k.

It’s bonkers! Not only do we lose income, these players should relish the opportunity to show the opposition what they can do and aim to keep them quiet! Instead they’d prefer empty seats! Have a word. If they feel uncomfortable playing in front of a crowd, they’re in the wrong profession for me.

Why though?, we have a decent rapport with them. It must cost the club hundreds of thousands throughout the season if this stance is kept up.
No one can tell me that the Cricket Field stand at Turf Moor is any safer than our East.

Maybe the @SLO_BFC can get clarity as to whether this is due to
- historic issues with the fans, i.e. the north / on police instruction,
- down to the safety cert / facilities in the north section of the east
- to supposedly maximise home advantage.

It would stop this second guessing

He's not been on replying to anything on the board since the start of August, so don't hold your breath.

You’re missing experiencing an adrenaline rush just as much as you get from football, and seeing athletes who don’t fall down dead when they’re tapped on the shoulder.
Agreed..

Men acting like men and not extras from Platoon!

For all his talent, James Maddison is probably the worst of the lot at the moment; opposing defenders only need to pass wind in his general vicinity and he keels over as if barged by an African elephant!

There is that. But on other the hand you’re surrounded by grown men whose wives buy their clothes for them.

Halifax, it’s not second guessing. The players, namely JH have complained about the east being full of away fans and that is all they see when they enter the field.

That is the only reason the east remains half empty. No other reason.

It’s disgusting.
