Nottingham Forest v Blackpool Official Matchday Thread 07.01.23

We’ve played well, Dembele frustrating at times and sometimes playing it back when we could go forward - otherwise, playing away at Premier League opposition has been very good so far 👍
Dembele having a couple of off games may not be a bad thing, as Brest might want to cash in and other teams lose interest.
He is still a massive talent

what did Casey get booked for there?

This ref is throwing out some soft free kicks and yellows.

Nice to see CJ playing in an area where he can stretch their defenders.Just lack some options for him when he gets beyond them and into crossing positions.

Considering they're playing many of their first teamers and are a Prem team, we've done extremely well. Far better than I thought we would, and it just shows that we can do it. There's no excuse for these poor away results in the league - our players are good enough.

Defensively though, we're bad. Even considering the quality of opposition, we just aren't doing the basics right and don't look particularly organised. Ultimately I suspect Forest will up it in the 2nd half and we won't withstand it, just my honest opinion. But whatever happens, I think we've performed admirably against a team two leagues above us where the gulf is vast.

Good half. Not been brilliant but clinical which is rarity. The worry is the defence is so shite. They are never in a line and play like strangers which is the same in league one.
