Notts County v Chesterfield

The only time would want Cheatersfield to win any game would be against PKE.
Remind me why they were cheats? Something happened late nineties maybe? John Duncan in charge of them possibly…couldn’t stand him. I know they were hard done to vs Boro in the FA cup ‘97 but there was something else …

I am not 100% certain but didn't they cheat us out of promotion and they were subsequently deducted points after they were promoted for financial irregularities?

Living in Chez Vegas its Chessie for me.

Great little club, and the days of the brown envelopes and dodgy owners are well in the past.

Passionate fan base but will be well down on the crowd compared to County.

What times kick off?

I’m surprised if there’s a clash between this and the other L1 play off semi.

County's 23 points lead in the league counts for nothing today. If anything it will motivate Chesterfield and as we've already discussed on here, the club that narrowly misses promotion tends to struggle in the play-offs.

All Chesterfield early on and a pen to them on five minutes. 1-0 to the Spireites.

I think it was the year we went up via the play-offs in 2001. Chesterfield went up as champions. As for the charge against them, I can't remember.

Penalties. No pressure on the players. Either score and get your employers into the EFL or miss and carry the burden of failure for the rest of your life.

BT picked the National League up at the right time didn't they. This season must have had more people watching it than ever before, brilliant promotion campaigns from both Wrexham and Notts County.

How any Notts County fan has survived this season without having a coronary is beyond me!
In a way though that makes the eventual result all the more enjoyable.
That said, if we are going up next season, please not the Play Offs.
