Spurs are a team that have created the veneer of being at the top table. They have probably the best stadium in the world and facilities most clubs would die for. I'm sure Levy is proud of his creation however in footballing terms this veneer has quite obvious cracks in it. The chairman just cannot compete financially with other clubs on the footballing side.
It was great business sense for Levy to have built his own modern day pyramid however I'm not sure Spurs fans would have agreed with such lavishness to the detriment of footballing growth. I wish Santos well but will he be backed?
