Nuttall gone

Great news all round.
he must have finished the stand painting then as he certainly wasn’t doing much more?
Let’s hope they find a footballer in there for us!

👏 Best thing for him just doesn’t have it in him unfortunately, he’s been a massive disappointment and let’s not forget good money was paid for him.

I didn’t see us being able to pull this off given his wages and recent history.

Even though we re probably paying 50% or over of his wages, bravo to the boys up stairs freeing up some money for NC to use on players that are going to improve the squad because if we re all honest Nuttall wasn’t.

Good luck to him at Northampton.

It's in our best interest for Nuttall and Hardie to do great things for Northampton and Plymouth this season, if only for the fact that they won't be able to play against us. I hope they finish 2nd and 3rd in the goalscoring charts (behind Yates)!

Never had the attitude in my opinion, not sure what was going on behind the scenes but he just looked like he couldn't be arsed when he got his chance.

Keith Curle's Northampton are very direct, often bypassing midfield, they need strong forwards who are scrappers.
But Nuttall has always struck me as someone who'd been schooled at a Prem academy and thrived on through balls.
I'll be surprised if he does well there.

Disappointed... wanted to see him come good. I really hope someone else is coming in as we are lacking strikers now .

With Hardie gone, I was hoping between Madine and Nuttall that Nutall would be given a chance this season. Got to wonder if we're bringing any more strikers in.

Good luck to him at Northampton. Now then who are we going to sign who knows how to put the ball in the net on a regular basis.?Need 2 strikers ASAP.🏐🏐

I thought Nutall may come good this season. Strange for him to be loaned without the manager having really seen much of him. Not even been much training . I really hope this means we have a quality replacement lined up.

Never really liked like he wanted it or fitted in. Not sure Hiwula is a great addition if there is any truth in that suggestion. Rather have a hungry Liverpool under 23 player in up front like Woodburn or Liam Miller.

Northampton boss Keith Curle says in a pice in the Gazette he is delighted to get his man as he's been a big fan of Nuttall's for some time.

He's clearly not seen much of him in a tangerine shirt then, he's been piss poor from what I've seen of him.

Be interesting to see how he gets on at the cobblers this season.
A move to Plymouth brought out the best in Hardie when many on here had written him off. 🙄

There is no point dressing it up, JN has been an expensive flop so far. I suspect his lack of work rate is what did for him although his confidence appeared fragile from the off. Maybe a loan will help him although I think Northampton will struggle in L1. Hopefully this frees up another place in our squad where we need it more. Good luck Joe.

I have a feeling he will do well if he is given regular football and has somone more experienced and decent to mentor him. Unfortunately, I don't think he has either at BR, especially under Grayson. Northampton will either make or break him. Hopefilly, the former

No dressing it up Nuttall has been a disaster, i really hope Northampton can bring out a player in him which we can benefit from.

I really feel for the lad however how did we end up paying such a high fee with a long contract.
I was kind of excited when we signed him however he failed to impress on his first few games.
He looked disinterested and slow. When he eventually scored at Ipswich,he gave away a penalty minutes later!
What was Grayson and his scouts thinking.
Biggest flop since Malkin so far.
Just hope he proves me wrong

I reckon Madine will end up at Bolton if he fails to make an impact by October.

Nuttall didn't help himself to be fair. The very least that he could have done would have been to work his bollocks off on the pitch. God loves a trier. Nuttall couldn't be arsed !

Look at the pictures of him in the dressing room when he joined, he was frowning, not happy and looked like the move had been forced upon him. Now counter that with the pics of him at Northampton. the lad is beaming and looks full of beans.

I really think this was an awful move for him under a dull and worn out manager. Its a decent move for both club and Joe. I hope he comes back with loads of goals and a fire in his belly (not from the beans!)
