Occasionally you make a valid point and I forget you’re actually a clown… but then you come up with something like this and I get hit right accross the face with those big old clown shoes and the spinning bow tie. Pure muppetry at it’s finest. And comments like yours are exactly why Jakes actions need rewarding.

He deserves it for showing a high level of courage in coming out . At his tender age and in the world of football he has taken a massive risk. There's no other football there's come out and you cannot tell me there aren't loads of gay footballers

What on earth are you on about it's a football awards not a sexuality awards

I honestly don't care if someone is gay, straight, bi sexual or a fcuking alien

What has being gay got to do with football? Well, the fact is, apparently, there’s only 1 gay footballer. Out of a society of millions, 1. That is either correct, or that football is operating in a backward, outdated, unsafe way.
Despite being employed in a mega million funded environment- hundreds of people cannot feel safe on being themselves, coming out and living their lives. They have to pretend. That is horrendous, awful and a blight on football.
So the fact 1 young guy had the courage to do this, to announce it with all its consequences, is a big thing in the game. It shouldn’t be, but it is.

Football should be utterly ashamed of itself that this situation is still as it is.
