O/T Council tax 150

Yeah of course they should and pay higher rate income tax, more NI, higher council tax. Maybe I could come round and do some housework for you or cut your grass.
 
The fairest way to have done this would have been to deduct £150 from the rates, meaning the scumbags that don't pay theirs won't get an extra benefit. Stated recently that there are around £30m in outstanding rates in the Bradford district. Shock and horror, an ex leader of the council was one who hadn't paid his rates a couple of years ago. Said he'd been busy and forgotten. This is the standard of some local councillors!
 
They should have just knocked this 150 straight off our gas bills and not made us have to pay it back. That would have made far more sense.
This will be seen as a 150 spending bonus for many, and the energy price increase will be as much of a problem as it was before we got this rebate.

Bloody stupid idea doing it this way.
 
Surprised they are actually giving it as a payment. Up here it got knocked off the annual amount, seems safer, as Curryman said.
