o/t Glastonbury Thread 2022

I'll adjust my earlier "shite" summary for Robert Plant and Alison Krauss. They could sing the shake and vac advert and it would be good. Johnny Depp clanging away on the guitar in the background though. Needy celebs eh 🙄😂

Is there anyone appearing this year that can actually sing?

Genuine question.

Granted I won’t have seen everyone but I’am struggling to pick anyone out that can sing I’ve been watching the BBC each night, perhaps they just pick the worst out of the bunch?

Decided to see what all the fuss is about, turned it on and listened to some black geezer mumbling into a microphone.

Watching Noel G and ‘gang’ right now. Can’t be any argument that he’s better overall with the High Flying Birds. Great stuff.

Never been to Glasto and no desire to. Did Donnington a few times back in the '80s when it was "Monsters of Rock" and Greenbelt a few times in the late '80s too

Was that young Mr Critchley smiling n drumming away on Liam Gallaghers High flying Birds.
Uncanny. Neil, what are you doing with your life? Throwing it all away

Watched Idles earlier, if they were a football team nobody could accuse them of giving less than 100%, in fact if I was a coach I would want my team to perform like they do and would ban some of this lame shite that footballers listen to from being played pre match!!

They're mental😂

Noel Gallagher’s solo stuff live is ridiculously boring and music for car company executives.
Fender was good, like him as he seems genuine and has a bit of Springsteen about his songs and storytelling.
I’m 47, I’m not meant to get Billy Eilish, but my 14 year old daughter likes her.
Other than that, didn’t mind Blossoms and Foals, otherwise nothing has blown me away.

Macca. ** real Legend,Beatle jacket to boot! Starting with first single I ever bought. (Wings nah)

I just don't get Fender at all. Radio X absolutely cream their pants over him. I just don't find his songs exciting. He does seem like a good lad though.

McCartney’s voice has gone. Should be asleep in his armchair at this time of night.
His voice went about 6 years ago, you can even hear it when hes just talking but so what? Hes a living legend and headlining the biggest festival at an age when a lot of us will probably be getting our arses wiped. Hes amazing , its just a case of getting past his voice is not very strong anymore ......but hes still here and doing it. The melodies are still there.

We all know that, but while there’s a Beatle still around to knock those Beatle classics out he’ll do for me.
I was dreading this to be honest but he has been great so far. His band is ** ace and it's a great mix of songs so far, Let me roll it is a great rock song and a brilliant riff, Juniors Farm the best Wings track and his voice isn't great but he's older than Joe Biden FFS!! I'm not even a Beatles fan but this is quality.
