Always found the Apollo missions facinating, but was just not quite old enough to remember them, so have been following with great interest the nasa Artemis program which was planned to launch in 2024. Unfortunately this has been pushed back at least a year and now planned for 2025. This itself is a great disappointment. On a brighter note nasa have said that the next person to set foot on the lunar surface will be a woman, what a great idea that was, at least everything will be spik and span and there’ll be a decent meal waiting for the rest of the crew.

NASA are planning to re visit the moon for the first time since Apollo 17, 1972. The plan is to make a permanent base so as be able to access resources for a later planned mission to mars. It’s not rocket science!

It’s the best way to get to Mars as most of the cost of fuel and power requirement is getting anything off the earth and through our atmosphere.
