O/T New Iron Maiden Album

Heading for No. 1 in the UK charts with their new album against Drake whoever they are.

Never been much of a fan (I prefer heavier stuff/don't like his voice) but it's a good solid listen.

Hope it gets there as metal is on a bit of a roll with getting high up in the charts.

As someone who has seen them live twice, lived and breathed maiden during my childhood and has listened to every album I dont know how many times it just isn’t sticking with me. I hope they get to number 1 because they deserve it but not one of my favourites unfortunately. Now give me “Sign of The Cross” Rock in Rio from 2001 any day of the week. I listen to that…alot

I like Maiden but I know what u mean re his voice. To me it sounds very theatrical on some songs. Not sure if that's what u mean or if I'm making sense
 
Anyone go the Iron Maiden concert at the Norbreck I think in 1980?

The new Wildhearts album is worth a blast by the way, very heavy.
 
I was there at the Norbreck! Frighteningly I still have the original tour t-shirt I bought at the gig. A bit faded and doesn't fit the older me but still it exists. Def Leppard and Ozzy played around the same time.

Just for the record, Drake’s a him not a they, (Canadian rapper) saw him with Jay Z a few years ago, but I very much doubt a metal fan would have much interest in Hip Hop. Lol.😉

Possibly but I love book of souls and that wasn’t long ago. Every Maiden album has that one song that jumps out at you. This one, for me, doesn’t. Maybe writing on the wall if I had to choose one

Yep spot on mate it's the pitch or tone he has though I'm in no way a hater or anything. The instrumentation is exceptional, they are a really good band and deserve the success they have achieved and the mantle that they sit on in the metal world.

Haha oh I see nope had no idea... sounded like some kind of Indie band lol I was miles off. Don't mind hip-hop it sometimes crops up in the bands I Iisten to ;)
 
Waterloo is Fantastic. Fletch has done a great job and I'm so glad it's staying open.
Seen Metal Militia a few times amongst others. I dunno if it's the alcohol but they seem better than the real thing.
