Good on him. Think many before him have gone to their graves living a lie but it's 2020 and no one really cares. The sad thing is that he felt he had to live that lie which affects his wife and kids but at least there's some honesty there now. My brother came out when he was 25 and he was amazed when we all said it was the least surprising news that any of us had heard!

Aye good on him.. feel kinda sorry for him that he's he had to keep it hidden all these years. Feel even more sorry for the wife!
 
In situations like this I wish they new before setting up a family.
Had a friend who came out after being married and having a son,she was devastated and took the lad and long time to come to terms with it.
She felt a bit dirty that she had been sleeping with him while at the same time he was going with men.
 
Gordon the Gopher was telling people that Phil was gay way back in the 80's.....💪

And I'm with Poolseasider on this....So he's been with his wife for years and has kids
So what now.....divorces the wife and moves in with some bloke...?
Doesn't matter if it's male or female...the wife should take him to the cleaners in the separation....
The guy is 57.....whats he going to do.....Start clubbing, suddenly become camp(er) and has 2 weeks on Mykonos every summer.

No but people take a vested interest in "celebrities" lives. I don't personally understand it but they do.

It wasn’t “reported on” he announced it on national television. I agree it’s entirely up to him, but why do so called celebrities think that ordinary people are remotely interested.
 
You wonder how long he withheld it from his wife for selfish (career) reasons. Other than that I couldn’t give a monkeys.

Does it matter why they get divorced even if they do? Loads get divorced later in life for various reasons, maybe they had a great relationship, maybe they still do, maybe she knew anyway and was cool with it?
 
If he`s a homosexual(gay is a ridiculous word to use and distorts its proper meaning) he`s a homosexual.

I am not remotely interested and unless the tabloids who for want of any other way to justify their grubby existence love to "expose"so called celebs, were about to out him I can`t for the life of me imagine why he has to tell the world, nor for that matter why he is proud of it any more than heterosexuals are proud of being heterosexual.

It sometimes seems a very strange world we live in.
