O/T. User Names

when i first registered for AVFTT nearly 20 years back, i'd got 20 teams left to complete the 92. I'm now down to 4.

Avatar is the cover of the album Bookends which is my favourite album by S & G.
Is that current grounds? eg have you done Tottingham's new ground?

Doesn’t the number change though when new teams come into the league?
Rushden and Diamonds (remember them), Forest Green Rovers, 2 teams when Wimbledon folded, Salford City etc
There must be a few which means it would be a difficult task to fulfil, unless of course as new ones enter you make a special journey to get there
Out of interest, what are the 4?

When you say 4 teams left is that grounds to go to?

Different people follow different rules. Some count teams. I've seen us play at 209 grounds but am missing 7 League teams; despite already seeing us play Wimbledon at two grounds for example, I haven't been to their new one.

We've not played an open game against the bottom three on my list. Harrogate was in covid behind closed doors. Cup replay with FGR would be welcome.

Tottenham
West Ham
Brentford
Wimbledon
Sutton
Harrogate
Forest Green

If we're not playing them, what's the point of going 😉🤣

Impressive - How long has that taken you?

not for me. There can only ever at one point be 92 teams. Of course the make up of those teams changes every season with relegation to and from L2. Sutton, FGR, Harrogate and Crawley.

Because as important as football is, it doesn't start and end with Blackpool. If you think it does then please don't comment on England or any other teams games then. There's a good chap. 😉

Named after the ‘Blue Cabin’ snack bar that was in the centre of the old East/Scratching Shed back in the day.

Purveyors of Bovril, crisps & those plastic cartons of orange squash.

Don’t know if this has ever been posted before but apologies if it has but I wonder what significance do user names and avatars mean for you all? Some are self explanatory whilst others are perhaps a bit cryptic. Are they picked randomly, a reference to yourself or just sound good?
As it isn’t football related then we can avoid a thread where posters aren’t bickering and having a go at each other.
Then again though, this is AVFTT..................
Mine is very straightforward, it’s my persona of everything related to BFC. My first game was in 1968 and still going strong and even when we have hit lows (of which we have had many) I always believe we will bounce back.
Over to you.
The visit of Pompey on the first day of the season in 1969 left a lasting impression on me as a 14 year old looking for a fashion or tribe to embrace. The first time I had seen a skinhead. Actually hundreds of them.

My nickname growing up

I have always been a loner who likes to go my own way, if you join Albert Ross together you get Albertross, they also spend most of their lives alone. My Avatar, just to prove I’m not totally alone, is myself and my now wife, just a few weeks before we married over 60 years ago.
Quite clever

I like pasties 😋

The German Shepherd in the photo is Clyde who we rescued from a dog pound in Spain & brought him to Lancashire. I've indoctrinated him into the ways of The Green Army. We have another rescue dog from Romania (called Bonnie of course) but she's still a staunch Steaua Bucharest fan ☹️

That’s a cracking pair of lamb chops

My previous name was in homage to The Sopranos main hangout and was 'retired' with the old avftt! ..........

Had a break before signing up on here and chose their second gaff as my reincarnation.

Capice! 🥴

Username was my handle in the old CB days,my avatar is the best cup final ever,i have the 48,51 finals with other autographed bits both framed up as well ,but 53 seemed more appropriate.

Avatar is me on my 8th birthday in 1969 outside my Mum and Dad’s cafe on the corner of Waterloo Rd and St Heliers Rd.
The name is taken from a Bad Manners song. I love ska snd reggae.
I remember that Cafe but can’t recall the name? What was it. I grew up on Waterloo Rd, hence the Southshore Steve moniker

I thought my user name made me sound clever.....🤔

The avatar is Michael Corleone when he was sent to Sicily to hide out.
I like this image because I collect my favourite movie characters and bands in Funko pops'....Yup, I'm sad

Lived in Sydney for 18 ish years prior to return to GC, as my daughters both came back to live in UK ( Uni / Guys ..now grandkids ..etc ) Avatar is me playing sax in an Aussie band. Many folk actually call me Sydney as they think it's my name 🤷🤣, or cannot remember the real one.

PDX is the airport code for Portland, Oregon where I moved in 2002 after growing up on the Fylde, my avatar is Stuart Barlow because he was one of those lower league players who had top flight level ability and those players fascinate me, well - they do now, at the time I bloody hated the guy cause he was bound to do something special against us.

Thought I looked the dogs danglys after a haircut l had in my late teens, went to work and one of the lads said I looked like Billy Wizz!!
Totally deflated but the nickname Billy Wizz stuck ☹️
Had many derivatives of it since, one being Wizzerboy that I used on the old bbc 606 site.
The avatar speaks for itself 👍🏻
