Off topic. Town centre now

What you said was disgusting. Don't try and twist it loser. Oh and I see the moderator has removed your vile comment.
Looking at some of the posts on here (comedy posts) and mine was a genuine post regards a mental health issue And gets deleted because of sad bitter twisted blinkered people like you mac. The mods must be proud. More absolute double standards.

Yeah just think when he had his back to them something could have been done, he's already ruined the bank so spray him with the hose and dilute and fire threat and knock him over, job done, off home for tea.
Getting wet from the hose may result in him catching a nasty chill. though. As for Knocking him over, an octogenarian the human rights/Claim lawyers would no doubt have a field day & cash in big style! 🧐

Incident came to a safe conclusion when he gave himself up at 2am. Patience to get a safe outcome was the aim so job well done.

Yes & hopefully they garnish his pension £1 a week to try and get some of the the thousands of pounds the operation would have cost back 😄.

Don't know if you're aware but putting water on petrol makes it spread not put it out.

So spraying his clothes with water isn't going to make him more flammable. It was an off the cuff suggestion.

Same with a couple officers surprising him with fire extinguishers at the ready also.

Can see in the video a few pages back he was about 2m or 3m away maybe, back turned and 80 years old so reactions won't have been quick.

I guess if this was a more serious situation and more dangerous guy and he went on to actually hurt people that were in there, maybe that chance to rush him would have come under more scrutiny.

Anyway, they bored him into quiting and its good no one is hurt from this tosser.

The fellas clearly having a rough time and whilst it’s really no excuse for his actions the police did a cracking job making sure this didn’t escalate and no one got hurt - including the man himself.
Beggars belief how some seem to think he needs his head splitting open or a dog setting on him !
I honestly hope when I’m 80 years old I’m treated with a bit more dignity and respect regardless of how my mental faculties are.
Lancashire Constabulary and all involved - including the bank and staff need praising.

Didn't realise I was in the presence of a genius, you must know me so well 🙄

Such a genius probably thinks the police have handled this OAP well, nothing else could be done.

Would hate to see the current police against organised criminals.

I tend to not have an opinion on how situations are dealt with by our Police that I know fuck all about.

I'm guessing you are either ex special forces or 15?

Nope and nor do I need to be. We all have opinions on stuff we know 'fuck all about', or know bits of.

We are all football fans and 'experts' despite many never having kicked a ball. I did play growing up so have an understanding.

As for this situation it was only common sense it could have been stopped earlier, of course there's a risk in doing so but weighing it up, the age of the guy, reaction time of an 80 year old man, fact he had turned his back on the police and was a mere few meters away.

You can see in the video the cops were getting interested, having a look and were probably cose to or wanting to do something.

That was a chance to end it, it doesn't take years of SAS training to see that. They do a few weeks of specialist training in how to stop slow OAP's I believe now.

But yeah good one, we can't have opinions on stuff were not experts on, i presume you have played football near the top or have managed at the highest level, or at the very least have some coaching badges?
