One Player from last 2 L1 Promotions?

If you could have one player now in the side from our last 2 L1 promotions who would it be?
Ian Evatt for me. Someone who is a bit of a bully, can motivate and can lead whilst also chipping in some goals.

Hoolahan for me. Still think he’s the best player I’ve seen in tangerine.

Last time we got promoted, the impact Simms and Embleton had on turning our fortunes around shouldn’t be understated. Them two, alongside Ballard and Yates, carried us up that season.

Jerry Yates for me. Because you can rarely keep hold of lads like him when you get yourself relegated.

When Critchley eventually worked out what to do with him he scored 20 goals in L1 but gave much more than that with his workrate, attitude and commitment. Mr No Days Off. We're missing that connection with this team now. Someone who makes you feel like he's doing what you'd want to be doing if you were out there on the pitch representing the club.

Shame we can not have Yates and Joseph closing down the back line together.

It is but again that's the cost of relegation. Critchley wanted Kyle Joseph when Wigan were having a fire sale in Jan 2021 as he knows him from youth level. So he's got his man in the end but it's going to be into next year off a full pre-season before we really get to see him I think. With having been signed injured and then getting injured. Always playing catch up. And it's taken having to pay Huddersfield for Rhodes to try and find goals that aren't there otherwise, which have dried up with his form dip and injury. So two players to replace the one constant we had in this league last time.

From the 2007 team, id have Shaun Barker (as a centre half), Ian Evatt, Keith or the wizard Wes,, id also take the top scorer Andy Morrell

not sure Evatt was the bully the o/p makes him out to do be. He was a good centre half but he wasn't a big physical bully that you associate with that expression. Anyway, to answer the question. Wes pretty comfortably.
