One player from last 20 years who could transform this season?

My choice would be Wes closely followed by Morrell excluding the too obvious choice of Charlie, however this team has been crying out for a KDH all season!
 
Defensively we are good, so an addition there wouldn’t make much difference.

The midfield, well it has to be Charlie, he made such a massive difference and for the positive impact he had generally on the team / club. By far the best and most important player in my 40 years watching Pool.

Up front, Dickov was the player who gave us the biggest boost at a crucial stage of the season. However, at this level I’d have DJ, he’d destroy teams.
 
Tough call for me between DJ and Charlie.
We are short of goals but that's partly down to chances created.
We've also lacked a player capable of creating chances, a dead ball specialist, a goal scoring mid-fielder and an outfield Captain, so Charlie gets my vote.
 
Maybe OP should have said a League One former player from the last twenty years to make it a fairer comparison. Wes without a doubt, Dichov another if any league, 6 goals in 7 when on loan with us.
 
GTF, creativity and finishing but would also give us that bit of nous and niggly edge that we've been lacking.
